We recently connected with Moshoodat Sanni and have shared our conversation below.
Moshoodat, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Earning a full time living from one’s creative career can be incredibly difficult. Have you been able to do so and if so, can you share some of the key parts of your journey and any important advice or lessons that might help creatives who haven’t been able to yet?
Earning a living as a full time creative has been a work in process I first went the creative path when I became a counter makeup artist for many brands, like mac benifit brow bar etc. i started having clients outside of the store for weddings special events etc to the point that I just took over my time. I realized I made more and worked less for my freelance business than at work. I also hated up selling products especially! It was amazing to grow and learn as an artist but I knew I wanted to be on sets and on amazing projects and I strived for more. But I took until I got let go from the jobs that I realized hey I like being a entrepreneur! I loved the freedom. It didn’t just make sense for me financially but more over it made sense for my as a person! It allowed me to travel and see life and create the dream my heart desired all by the grace of God of course. Staying busy posting and putting all my energy to myself helped me grow so much as a business and as a brand. I’m always super grateful for social media opening doors for me.
Moshoodat, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Most Rewarding Aspect is seeing the manifestations , dreams , goals and ideas are finally coming to life. The journey of peace I feel like it even bigger. Because sometimes when you dream of something so bad and you all the steps you’ve taken to get there. That spirit of peace that comes over your life after awhile just brings so much joy. It feels like you usual transform into a deeper more sound version of yourself when you put your all into this. And I’m just thankful for the things I continuously strive for. Being a business women or man.
Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
I wish I understood myself a bit more! Wish I went to school for it as a child. I’m such a creative through and through. But honestly it’s important for us Artist to do the research and take time discovering the things we need
