We recently connected with Morghan Turner and have shared our conversation below.
Morghan, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Hello, my name is Morghan Turner. I am 7 years old, and I have my own lemonade business called “Lil Miss Lemons”. I have been in business for 3 years. It all started after I spent all my allowance shopping and wanted more money. I told my pumpkin (grandmother) that I wanted to sell something to make money. And lemonade was my idea! So me, my mom and my pumpkin (grandmother) started making lemonade. First, we started selling in the neighborhood. And it was a hit! We started to get invites to sell my lemonade at festivals, shows, birthday parties, games, and other events. Today, my lemonade business is growing strong. Every sell has been very successful!
Morghan, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Lil Miss Lemons all started at home where my pumpkin (grandmother) also makes shirts, comforters, totes, & etc. So the first thing we had to come up with is a recipe for the lemonade to make it taste amazing so it’s not too sweet. Next, we needed a logo that’ll grab people’s attention. Once we got the logo, we made an Instagram account where people can support my lemonade business and know when and where I’m selling my lemonade. I am proud about a lot of things but I’m thankful for my mom and my pumpkin (grandmother) helping me with my lemonade business.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building an audience with my lemonade business, I’ve learned that you have to keep it fun and interesting. So I had to post my customers first time reactions to tasting my lemonade, showing them the products & the work.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Using Instagram and passing out my business cards at events to my first time customers is the easy way to keep in contact with my customers in case they need us to come to a party, game, etc.
