We recently connected with Morgane Bonnin and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Morgane thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
My daugther is born in december 2019. I was suppose to go back at work first week of March 2020. But covid happen, daycare close, and it’s start to be the mess. At this time i was Manager on a french bakery and my husband was pastry chef over-here.
We was looking to find a solution to keep our small one safe. We deciding it will be better for me to leave my job and stay home with Romy.
But stay home is not something for me, so i ask my husband to teach me how to do all the french pastry, viennoiserie, brioche, bread… And he did it. A few month later i opened a website to start to sold my products.
Now i still at home with my almost 3 years old, but my idea growing-up, we now delivery for breakfast on sunday, i do Farmer’s market each weeks, and now we looking to open our own bakery.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I growing-up in France. at 16year old i was boring of school, and i deciding to become an apprentice seller in a bakery. After 4 years i had 2 differentes diplomes in sell/ business. I start to work in a new bakery, and i learn new differentes wait to sell products. Then i meet my husband and he get the opportunity to come in USA. We deciding to went together, and it’s how our new story start.
In 2020 when i start my business it was pretty hard to start, make it growing up, find follower, and who to do to have new order and new customer. Farmer’s market had helping me a lot to get a very good business. I’m glad one of the manager of the first market i did give me my chance. Now i’m almost every week sold out of my product, and i’m so proud of me.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source for new client was for sure the farmer’s market, finally i growing up more in 6 month in farmer’s market then in 2 year with only pick-up and delivery.
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
My cofounder is my husband. We meet at my cousin birthday, many years ago, the funny thing is we have both the same family name. At first when he teach me how to bake and make pastries, he only allowed me to do dish, now when he want help me in the kitchen, i told him to do the dish, and i do the funny things.
