We recently connected with Morgan Morris and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Morgan thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
Thuro Design is a boutique design studio handcrafting brands for value-aligned makers creating meaningful impact. When Amber first reached out to me for a rebrand, packaging design, and website redesign, I knew it was going to be a dream project.
Ever since college when I really started to learn about design, I always had a passion to create work with purpose. As a follower of Jesus, I believe that designing beauty is the God-given gift that I get to contribute to see businesses doing good become even better. As a designer, I get so fulfilled by creating something with my hands out of nothing. I love the collaborative work of seeing my clients’ vision come into fruition, and Amber was no exception.
Excellence is a value I carry and commit to do all things with the highest quality. Even when I’m drawing letterforms or building a website, I feel like I’m doing exactly what I was created to do, and I’m so thankful for work that I love.
It had always been a dream of mine to work on a brand, packaging, and website from start to finish. To get real printed items in my hand, and to work with talented creatives with beautifully crafted products and inspiring brand photography. Amber’s project was that and so much more.
With taking almost a year to complete, I got the opportunity to build a really fun working relationship with Amber – something that I value in my business. As a boutique studio, I’m able to have 1:1 high-touch access to clients which provides a personal, red carpet experience that they really appreciate.
I love working with brands that have aligned values that I care about and that are making a positive impact in the world. I was so impressed with how Amber meticulously sourced sustainable materials made in the US from her jewelry to her packaging. She also has a giving back initiative to ArtFeeds where a percentage of their sales support their continued efforts in helping little artists process big feelings through fun art lessons.
Not only was this a dream project and so fun to bring into fruition, but it was backed on values that are giving back to make this world a better place. All of these elements truly made this a favorite project for years to come.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Thuro Design is a boutique brand, packaging, and website studio nestled in the Ozark hills of Northwest Arkansas. We design handcrafted brands for value-aligned makers creating meaningful impact.
Ever since I can remember, I had always been creative. Getting art sets for every birthday, always drawing something. Getting art sets for every birthday, always drawing something. When I was in high school, I felt directionless with how to channel my creativity into a career path, so I got advice from a professional graphic designer. Instead of encouraging my mismatched art projects, he told me that I should pursue a different career and that I didn’t have what it took to become a designer.
Instead of letting those words defeat me, I let them motivate me to become better. In college, I took all the illustration and design classes I could possibly get my hands on and slowly began getting better at my craft. I always knew that someday I wanted to run a business of my own, but decided to get some agency experience first. Spending a few years in the agency world really taught me how to work with large clients and was an opportunity to refine and hone in my expertise in branding. Then I quit my agency job to do a year long mission trip where I explored 12 countries in 1 year. Getting to see different injustices and ministries around the world gave me a renewed perspective for how to blend my passions by starting my own design studio.
I realized that my dreams didn’t have to be two separate worlds. By blending my love for people, beauty, and crafting design through the work of my hands, my impact & purpose could flourish through how I led my design studio.
We provide brand, packaging, and website design helping clients to discover newfound confidence in their business, support their growing business goals, and help them get back to doing what they love.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist or creative is getting the fulfillment of creating something out of nothing. I love the journey of getting to ideate a lot of different designs and then getting to draw something so original that’s also meaningful to my clients. Every design detail is rooted in strategy and meaning, and it’s so rewarding to support businesses that align with values I care about that are making this world a better place.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My main mission as a creative is to be a light in a dark place while doing everything with excellence. In the business world, there’s so much corruption that can be redeemed and I believe that stewarding my business with aligned values can make that difference. By providing a top-notch working relationship, a positive work environment where others can thrive, and above and beyond satisfied clients are ways that I’ve seen Thuro be a force for good in the business space. I’ve also launched a mentorship for aspiring designers about of running my own design studio that has been very fulfilling to give back to the design community.
