Morgan, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the best or worst investment you’ve made?
The best investment I have made so far has to be my first brick and mortar location. Starting as a mobile bridal shop, Magnolia Bridal was growing quickly and the demand for our bridal gowns and customer service warranted a permanent location. I was lucky enough to find a retail space on the corner of a busy spot in town. and in just three short weeks, we turned a cell phone provider store into our beautiful bridal shop. Securing this prominent location has helped so many more community members learn about our business!

Hi! I’m Morgan. Lover of weddings, humans, pretty dresses and founder of Magnolia Bridal in Jenison, MI.
I have been in the wedding attire industry for about 10 years now. I am a bridal gown, mother-of and suit expert and there is nothing I love more than making sure your wedding day attire is absolutely perfect!
Magnolia Bridal focuses on inclusion and providing a celebratory experience to all. Our bridal gown selection is highly customizable and ranges from size 00-40. We also offer Mother-of the Bride and Groom dresses and suit rental/purchase. We are a full service bridal shop and cannot wait to welcome you into our space.
I am so proud every day to share my passion with brides and couples. Magnolia Bridal is my dream come true and I hope you love it as much as I do! We’d love to hear your thoughts about selling platforms like Amazon/Etsy vs selling on your own site.
We believe the process of finding your wedding attire can be very emotional and is not something that should be done online. Women know the struggle of sizing all too well and the formalwear industry famously is even more confusing. Wedding gowns also typically cost more due to the amount of fabric used and time it takes to construct. For these reasons and more, it benefits the bride most to visit a bridal shop in person and utilize the consultant’s knowledge. Finding your wedding dress is special and you deserve to be celebrated! Don’t sell yourself short of the full bridal experience. We promise wedding dress shopping is supposed to be fun, not scary.


We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
As a locally owned business, we love our town and it was important to us to make ourselves known when we decided to open Magnolia Bridal. We did as many in person events as we could but since it was a time with limited gathering restrictions, we followed up with everyone we met in person, on social media. We actively participate in styled shoots to further grow our vendor network as well as receive professionally edited content to share on social media. We invest in a Marketing Manager and model team to consistently create trending bridal content in store to find local brides online and stay relevant. Consistency is key to making sure your content will actually grab someone’s attention.
