Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Morgan Love and Tierneey Gasaway. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Morgan and Tierneey, thanks for joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
While bullied in school, Morgan enjoyed taking bubble baths to help her relax and process her rough days. Her friend Tierneey was always there to listen and encourage her through these times. One day at a back-to-school sleepover, we made bath bombs as a craft, and they ultimately failed. However, their failure sparked an idea in our minds- to create a business where we could help people, with bath and body care products, just like they helped Morgan. To be honest, we didn’t really know if this would work, we just wanted to put ourselves out there and help people in the only way we knew how. Our focus was not on making money or expanding, but on giving people a way to escape their harsh realities whenever they needed it. Although the problem we aimed to solve already had solutions, we wanted to offer a different approach that was more personable and affordable. The thought of two preteen girls making an impact on someone else’s day, whether big or small, was what motivated us through the challenging beginning stages.


Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Our names are Morgan Love and Tierneey Gasaway and we are the co-founders of LoveAway Body Care. LoveAway launched in November 2017 when we were 11 and 12 years old, and the name actually comes from a combination of both of our last names. When we began this business, our moms provided us with the initial investment. However, because of the success of LoveAway we now use our revenue, gained from various craft shows and private events, to fund business needs. We offer a wide variety of bath and body care such as bath bombs, shower steamers, body scrubs, soaps, lip care, beard care, and more for the body. Our business aims to help people relax while also giving them products that work for all skin types. Unlike larger corporations, LoveAway Body Care was founded by kid entrepreneurs whose goal was to help others and not to capitalize on people’s problems. We are most proud of our growth as a business and as people; both our products and mindsets have developed into something that we could have never imagined from the start. We would like people to know that when it comes to our products, we target all facets of your body. Whether that means moisturizing your dry skin or giving you an outlet to relax your mind. We are here for all of our customers and their body care needs.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
We met each other at our church’s daycare when we were 2 and 3 years old. We quickly became friends because of our similar personalities, and bonded further when our mothers began to do fundraisers together. Our friendship was officially solidified when Morgan invited Tierneey to her birthday celebration, and we have been inseparable ever since.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
We foster brand loyalty by creating products that actually work. A lot of brands focus on quantity, which causes the quality of their products to diminish. However, since we make every single product ourselves we can focus on quality and make sure that they all provide the benefits that we claim they do. In our opinion, staying in touch with our clients and listening to their reviews allows us to maintain our connection with them and keep them coming back for years to come. Since we, as a business, have such high standards for our products our clients know that they will always receive quality.
