We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Morgan EGNATER. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Morgan below.
Morgan, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
I thoroughly love the beverage and hospitality industry. I enjoy the moments spent around a table watching people immerse themselves in delicious food and drinks. Creating not only moments but memories for people is a passion of mine.
My goal with Take Flight is to bring my passion to my clients. Showcasing the the hard work and dedication of the distilleries to the end consumer, being the liaison from brand to consumer. There are many people that do what I do, but very few are imbedded into the spirits community like I am.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I started my journey just as a lover of food and beverage. I began my group Female Whiskey Society back in early 2021 and really realized how much I loved this community and learning within it. From there I launched my company Take Flight Consulting, a spirits based consulting firm that supports brands, distilleries, bars and restaurants. My focuses are supporting my clients by building brand awareness, increased social media presence, brand ambassadorships and beyond.
Have you ever had to pivot?
I worked in “Corporate America” for about 10 years when the company I worked for went through an acquisition to which I unfortunately found myself looking to close that chapter and start a new one. Scared and excited to begin a new journey, as I had worked for the same company for so long, it was a big change. But I figured there was no time like the present to dive head first in the spirits world, I am so lucky that I have people who support me and champion for me all the time
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
While my audience is small in comparison to other social media accounts and other niches, its important for me to not do that comparisons as I don’t really think comparisons are healthy and don’t really aid in your growth. For me, my story is simple, being authentic is my advice. I only know how to be me, I don’t know how to conform to “norms” or trends. I just do what I like, post what I feel. My audience growth has been slow but its organic, its real.
