We recently connected with Morgan Bullock and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Morgan thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
My parents allowed me to be the creative director of my life from a young age. They did whatever they could to champion me when I decided to take a path, even if they disagreed with the path I was taking. This led to me getting a full softball scholarship to FSU, and it also led to me entering a marriage that was doomed from the start. If not for my parents’ willingness to let me fall and make my own mistakes, I wouldn’t have the resilience and wisdom I have now. I think it’s essential for parents to implement structure in their children’s lives but not total control.
If not for my mistakes that my parents could see coming, I wouldn’t have found my passion, the empathy I utilize in my coaching, or the foundation for my speeches. I’m grateful for my parents, who believe in me wholeheartedly and make sure they empower me to believe in myself through liberation, encouragement, and authenticity.

Morgan, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a people developer! As a motivational speaker, transformational coach, and author, I have mastered the art of empowering people to be their best selves by defining the life they desire and taking steps to get it. I provide 1:1 and group coaching programs that help people transform their minds so they can live the life they dream of through mindset tools, visualization methodology and necessary encouragement. On a larger scale I give interactive and engaging speeches to collectives, teams and events.
I want people to understand the importance of defining what they truly want, the power of visualization, and that they deserve anything they desire. Most times, like athletes, we need a coach or pep talk to empower us win. I’m here to empower and transform.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I followed the traditional southern path of graduating from a good school, getting married to my college sweetheart, starting a secure career, buying a house, starting a family, and living happily ever after. I put every effort into building that life for myself until I realized after four years into a toxic marriage, a house that had me in way over my head, a 20-week stillbirth, and a job layoff that everything I thought would make me happy had me in a state of misery.
Once my ex-husband and I decided to divorce, and I luckily sold my house right before foreclosure, I moved back in with my parents and decided to take a different route with my life. I realized that I could no longer let society tell me what would make me happy I had to figure that out on my own.
I took the time and did the work. I owned the fact that I lost myself in an effort to please everyone else and defined my winning play for life. What’s a winning play? The play every athlete dreams of! As a former D1 softball player, I would visualize winning a women’s college World Series or pitching the last strike. I began to take that ideology and apply it to my life to determine what relationship I wanted, the financial freedom I desired, the family, house, city, and lifestyle I dreamed of.
After years of mindset work, coaching certification, and action, I now have the dream and life I once dreamed of. I have a blossoming relationship, a healthy baby, and investment properties in my favorite city, Atlanta, GA. My life is a culmination of my vision.
I had to pivot with my mindset and thoughts. It empowered me to realize my true passion for helping others do the same.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
My authenticity. There has been an influx of coaches, programs, and courses. Some take advantage of others and see opportunities to capitalize on people’s low moments in life. I’ve made sure to stay true to myself and my core values. My desire to see my clients win is my top priority. When they win, we all win.
I would say for anyone in any market that the world needs YOU, not a watered-down version, the real you. Your authenticity adds a flavor that no one else can add. The key is finding your passion and going head first towards it. Release the ideas that others have put on you. Reimagine your concept of success and go after your winning play on your terms with your values and with your whole heart.
