Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Morgan Brown a.k.a Trippy Moe. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Morgan Brown, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I had this vision since a kid that I was meant to do something with music, I didn’t care what it was as long as I could be around music everyday. That energy grew a love for helping artists build themselves as well as building myself as an artist. When I was eighteen I traveled up the east coast from Louisiana with my guitar playing wherever I could. I ended up in multiple highly creative establishments, such as Ashford & Simpson Sugar Bar in New York City where I got to play some live music for Valerie Simpson(one of the writers of Ain’t No Mountain High Enough as well as many other songs in the songwriter hall of fame.)
Morgan Brown, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
A lot of people call me, Trippy, I’ve been in and out of professional recording studios since I was 16 years old. I fell in love with music when I was 12 and have been spreading the love for music since. Now being 26, I own a music studio in Westminister CO, where we provide the tools to make quality music and the tools to brand yourself accordingly. I teach people how to make money from their craft and the importance of product branding(logo design, merch design, content planning, roll out planning, photographers, videographers, running ads)
How did you build your audience on social media?
Get creative, get personal, have fun. I always tell my clients the key to online progression is to just make it a habit to set that camera up or have your friend record you real quick, and then to just have fun period, find ways to relate to your audience.
How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
I think Denver does a beautiful job supporting artists, there’s a lot of talent out here that loves building and growing together I feel like we just have to come together and really entertain the city that’s the difference between small artists and big time artists.
