Moranda, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

Omefa Organics is the BEST Organic, Holistic, Vegan Skincare and Hair Care Product Line that is giving men, women and children their confidence back through healthy growing hair and youthful glowing skin.

We have incorporate Leaves, Roots, Stems, Fruits, Seeds and Flowers of trees through oil and powders in our formulations.

It all started when my hair was continuously breaking and cease growing. It’s important that I mention I was living in a tropical country, Guyana (consisting of two seasons i.e. sunny and rainy), until I migrated in 2011. Thereafter, my hair started breaking uncontrollably and ceased growing, leaving me puzzled as to the reasons behind this. As a result, I started spending countless dollars at beauty supplies trying different Hair Care Products for a few years, but to no avail. Hence, I had given up on my hair.

In 2018, I became desperate and began researching ingredients for Hair care. Six (6) months later, I formulated my first two hair products which I use on myself for one (1) year. I was so wowed by the results that I posted my results on Facebook, and persons were enquiring about the secrets behind my breakthrough.

Based on the foregoing, I began thinking I could help persons who are struggling with the same issue. About one month later my business birthed and from time to time I would post Customers Reviews. Due to the success of my first two (2) Products, Customers started making suggestions of other Products I should make to compliment them and that is how Omefa Organics came into existence.

I have a love for science and all things dealing with the creation of products from scratch. And all my products are handmade in small amounts.

My mission is to resurface confidence to Men, Women and Children through my Hair and skincare products.

My motto is ‘Herbs are the healing of the Nation’.

I am Omefa. A 33 year old Guyanese born and raise, who migrated at the age of 22 years old to live in North America..

After migrating my hair started breaking uncontrollably and no products I was using worked. I had given up on my hair. Then I got tired of the wigs and became desperate to help my hair grow and stop breakage.
I started researching and 6 mths later I created two products my Growth oil and Pomade which boost my hair growth, thickness, length and strength. I posted a photo of my hair before and after on social media and enquiries started to pour in. That’s how Omefa Organics birthed.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?

I was working at a pre k school at the moment as a teaching assistant from 10am-6pm. I refuse to use that money to fund my business. I started a in home private tutoring for kids 4 times a week and use that monies to fund my business.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

The most effective strategy of growin my clientele was going into the streets and selling my products.
