We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Moral Turgeman a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Moral , appreciate you joining us today. What was the most important lesson/experience you had in a job that has helped you in your creative career?
During my formative years, one of the most essential working experiences in my career was working alongside director and cinematographer Samuel Bayer. I started as an executive assistant but quickly took on multiple roles such as styling, script supervising, working in the camera department, producing print campaigns, and designing and building studio and office spaces while managing his studio operations. The fast-paced environment taught me how to juggle multiple projects, manage large teams and budgets, and problem-solve under pressure. It was an intense crash course in adaptability and leadership, and those years gave me the foundation to execute ambitious creative projects today confidently.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi my name is Moral Turgeman. I am a multidisciplinary artist and the founder of Raise the Moral (RTM), a creative studio with locations in Los Angeles, New York, and Portugal. My journey into this field began with a deep curiosity for human connection and self-expression, which evolved into a practice that bridges art, design, and architecture. RTM specializes in creating bespoke, functional, and interactive works that range from site-specific installations and furniture design to immersive experiences and fine art. Our work addresses the need for meaningful, sensory-rich environments and objects that invite reflection, interaction, and personal discovery. What sets us apart is our medium-agnostic approach: we don’t confine ourselves to a single material or discipline. Each project is an experiment, blending form, subject, and site in unexpected ways. I’m most proud of the impact our work has on people—whether it’s the thousands of personal portraits created through our traveling Blind Portrait experience, a reimagined living space that transforms how someone feels in their home, or a sensory installation that sparks introspection. At RTM, our focus is always on creating connections—between people, their environments, and themselves. We want our audience and clients to know that our work is more than functional or aesthetic; it’s an invitation to engage, reflect, and discover something new.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is the ability to express myself creatively and bring ideas to life in a way that resonates with others. It’s incredibly fulfilling to translate intangible concepts—thoughts, emotions, or visions—into tangible forms that spark connection, introspection, or inspiration. Every project is a dialogue, and knowing that my work can evoke a feeling or create a moment of reflection for someone else is what makes this journey so meaningful.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
The driving force behind my creative journey is my passion for evoking emotion and creating sensory experiences that connect deeply with people. I’m fascinated by the rhythms of the body and how tuning into those frequencies can foster a sense of healing and self-discovery. My work often explores the interplay between form, sound, and energy, inviting individuals to engage with their senses in a way that feels both personal and transformative. Ultimately, my goal is to create spaces, objects, and experiences that not only inspire but also nurture a deeper connection to oneself and the world around them.
