Moon, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
I began really learning my craft when I started interning with a fashion stylist. Which consisted of studying different materials of clothing, designers, picking up and dropping off clothes. Researching online, resourcing items for photoshoots. To speed up my learning process as an intern, I believe researching what the job actually consist of to better understand what is expected. The one obstacle that stood in the way of me of learning more was wanting to learn everything at once time in regards to being a stylist. I grew to understand, Im constantly going to be learning about how to perfect my craft.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I first started in this industry working at Forever 21 in the fitting room. I helped customers choose outfits for every occasion. I grew interested in learning more about fashion and what avenue I wanted to pursue within the industry. I decided to take a leap of faith and dive into the world of Fashion styling. I had the honor of interning with some of the most talented stylist in the industry. With many years of interning I finally made my breakthrough and started to create my own photo shoots which allowed me to gain clientele. I currently offer Personal, editorial, revamping of wardrobe, closet organization and event styling services. I believe what sets me me apart from others is my passion, creativity and my goal to always create a positive fulfilling experience for each individual I work with.
