We caught up with the brilliant and insightful SAM Morrison a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
SAM, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
My boyfriend and I both had been hosting events for different organizations before we met. He had been called the “Ambassador of Fun”. We both believe that it is very important to live life and not just get by. So many people go to work and home and never get out to do anything fun, and we believe that is not the way life is to be lived. We are looking for FUN people that want to experience life, one event at a time!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
We love to host events in the DFW area with the idea of hosting events in other parts of the United States as we travel in our RV. We have a Facebook Group and people can also sign up to get our monthly email that will show all the events for the month. We do prefer that people RSVP so that we can have an accurate headcount.
Some of the events we have or will be hosting:
Concerts
Camping
River Trips
Festivals
Meals out
Hiking
Karaoke
Gun Range
Axe Throwing
Painting
Distillery/Brewery Tours
Bowling
Movies
…and who knows what else we will come across.
How’d you meet your business partner?
We met at an event that was hosted by a singles group we were both part of. True story, I had not planned on going to this particular event because I had too much to do that day. However, I was on a virtual event with relationship coach, Andre Paradis of Project Equinox and he gave us all a homework assignment. The homework assignment was to go where men were going to be. Not to talk to them or even meet anyone but to just be where they were and listen to see if we could identify the differences between the boys, guys, and men.
The event that day was at a brewery. I don’t drink beer. I am a whiskey girl but I was going to do my homework assignment. Monty walked up to the barrel where I was standing and said, “I didn’t think you were going to make it today” and somehow we have been together ever since.
I love that we met at an event and now set up events for others to live their lives in a way that allows for creating memories and connections.
Our group is for everyone..singles, dating couples, married couples.

How did you build your audience on social media?
We have our Facebook Group and most of the growth has come from word of mouth. We are just now creating a YouTube channel to share fun videos of the events we host.
My best advice is to use the social media platforms that you are already on and understand or get someone to help you with the social media part. You don’t have to be good at social media, but you do need someone on your team that is.
