Montravious, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
In complete honesty my business was established on a whim. I was always very intelligent so I would get asked to perform a variety of different tasks. Often times they were things I hadn’t done before but I’m resourceful and a quick learner so it always seemed to pan out in my favor. The more things I touched the bigger my figurative and literal portfolio became. I began to get offers to provide services on things ranging from education assistance, to business & marketing consulting, to career development. This went on for a few years before what people now know as Williams Administrative Services finally materialized into a bonafide business. Once I dove head first into marketing and disclosing that this was an actual business and these were the services I provided, the demand that followed was unbelievable.. Even then I wasn’t sure what I had gotten myself into until the demand for my services started to require every free moment I had available and even the moments that weren’t available.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
My background is healthcare, and I currently work as a corporate healthcare consultant. This in its most basic form is marketing and problem solving for healthcare entities. This lends itself to my business from a business, marketing, and consultation standpoint. At Williams Admin we offer career development services such as resume & cover letter creation as well as interview coaching, and career trajectory facilitation. We also offer business start up services, marketing consultations, business & marketing plans, as well as funding acquisition. Our education assistance department focuses on assisting individuals who are attempting to get into school, financial aid document completion, financial aid or academic appeals, and completion of full online courses or assignments.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
My belief is that my reputation was built on the customer service I provide and results I obtain. I stand firm on our motto of “Let Me Help You Help Yourself,” and I believe when a client placed a task in my hand it is my job to provide the best customer service experience imaginable while delivering the best results feasibly possible.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
To me it doesn’t matter how many flyers you create, how many likes/shares you get on social media, or how many ads you pay for. The best way has always been and still is your current and former clients. They can make or break you and in my case they have made Williams Admin what it is today. Word of mouth is still the most powerful marketing tool there is.
