Hi Monique, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
I began to see the need for our scholars to attend a nurturing, loving, and educational institutions that will enable them a successful experience to be set up for success. This will and can take place for our minority scholars at one of our nations Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Monique, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Monique S. Robinson received a B.A from Wilberforce University; Psychology, M. Ed from Concordia University-Portland; Educational Leadership, and Ed.S from Northcentral University; Educational Leadership. While teaching some of the most memorable projects done by her scholars include the Living Wax Museum, Flat Stanley goes to college to an HBCU, and implementing the Performing Arts in lesson delivery. What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
The lesson I learned being that I am not good at holding myself accountable to a calendar. Now as a business owner of three businesses it is essential that I make sure I respect my time and protect it by using a calendar.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I have so many stories but one that provides me with happiness is definitely the end of the year celebration that allows our scholars to be celebrated and sent off to school in style!
