We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Monique Renee Catoggio. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Monique below.
Monique, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your business sooner or later
After so many years taking both small and huge leaps toward my desires and life purpose, I’ve realized that although I wanted to take the entrepreneurship leap much sooner, I WAS starting my business one small step at a time all along. This Aha moment was not only beneficial for me, but also for so many of my clients who also desire to leap into the world of entrepreneurship. We can choose to believe that doing it fast (or sooner) is the best way, and we can judge ourselves for not being able to take the risk sooner, or we can see how we were “becoming” all along.
My 7-year journey to finally launching my own business allowed me to grow in so many ways that ensured I was ready. Over those 7 years I studied, earned multiple certifications, and practiced a lot! And although for all of those years I still held a full-time job, I also was able to have my “side hustle” which prepared me to be on my own, receive many testimonials of my work that gave me confidence, and have an established client list before launching officially.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I like to share that my purpose and business today has come full circle to the day–at the age of 8–when I stared at a display in my library that was explaining what ESP (Extra Sensory Perception) was! I was always fascinated with anything mystical and began reading books about mysticism, consciousness and astrology from that time onward. In college I sold mini love astrology readings for fun!
This journey within and to support my passion of helping others actualize and live authentically through spirituality and esoteric tools has deepened and expanded tremendously. Today, I have a tool box that supports my clients in creating intentional and sacred lives. I help them to “Flow Fiercely” by owning their uniqueness and putting it out into the world bravely!
My consultations combine several forms of Astrology and Human Design, Tarot, a personalized Flow Roadmap that I’ve designed, ritual practices & spiritual mentoring, and Feng Shui. The thread that runs through it is effective whole-person coaching to tie it together. My business brings me so much joy, and every day I get to see how meaningful and transformational it is for others.
Prior to launching my business in 2016, I had an exceptional career in Community and Corporate Relations, and had the honor of working for the Orange Bowl Stadium, Miami Children’s Hospital, Youth Crime Watch of America, and Florida International University, where after 17 years of exciting work as both Director of Alumni & Corporate Relations for the B-School, and Director of Continuing Education, I can definitely say that I left my mark. Today I proudly serve on the FIU President’s Council.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
My brand today –Fiercely Flowing– stems from my own story of resilience and trusting in my inner voice–my intuition. At one point in my career we had a transition in leadership that really shook things up. After so many years of fine-tuning my sense of direction and integrity around who I was and what I was no longer willing to sacrifice, the time came for me to either continue saying “yes” to opportunities that I knew would drive me further away from my purpose, or to risk it all (even losing my job during this transition) to be able to leap forward.
What I know now as an Astrologer and Human Design Practitioner, is that HOPE is the language that lights my inner flame, and helping others transform their lives is my life’s purpose and work. After this acknowledgment and prior to making the leap, I confidently said “No” to the opportunities presented to me, and I surrendered to the Universe and my hope to trust and provide for me. Well, it did! This risk provided me a role within FIU that allowed me to create my own department within the organization helping leaders mindfully transform, bringing me even closer to being ready to go out on my own a few years later.
I was Fierce for myself, and although risky, it felt so good and was a huge turning point in my career.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Having spent so many years within one organization and giving it my all really helped me to create deep relationships, and a personal brand that people could trust. Relationships have been everything for me!
I was in the business of creating and growing mutually-beneficial and endearing relationships, especially during my 17-year tenure at FIU’s College of Business. Those close relationships with leaders in my community allowed many individuals to experience my evolvement over the years–from a leader in education to a spiritual and wellness leader. It was an intentional slow-drip. I provided value wherever I could.
Many of them sought and experienced my work during this time, so when I transitioned fully, it wasn’t a bumpy one, but welcomed by the community in which I lived and operated. Many of them are still my clients today and my best source of referrals. I’m very grateful, and what I know for sure is that things happen when they should, and there is no one path to successful entrepreneurship.
