We were lucky to catch up with Monique Lore’ Stinson recently and have shared our conversation below.
Monique Lore’, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea for The Pandemic Project Documentary emerged during a pivotal moment in March 2020, when I watched firsthand as the work and projects I had dedicated over a decade to suddenly slowed and vanished. Like so many others around the world at that time, the uncertainty was overwhelming—none of us truly understood the full scope of what we were facing. However, I recognized that I had a unique skill set, a deep curiosity, and the resilience to pivot. I set out to create something new—a documentary film concept born from this unprecedented moment.
The concept itself was sparked by the simple yet profound act of fielding calls in real time, as everyone was grappling with the same question: What in the world is happening? I decided to tap into my casting experience and connect with everyday people, allowing them to kshare their personal journeys through a crisis unlike anything most had ever experienced. I wanted to capture their voices, real and raw, and tell the story of how individuals navigated this once-in-a-lifetime global event.
Monique Lore’, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Her career took another significant turn with her first documentary film, The Pandemic Project Documentary, a powerful exploration of the human experience during the global crisis. As she embarks on the next chapter of her journey, Monique remains committed to inspiring others, especially women, to trust in their ambition, network, and work ethic. Her resilience, resourcefulness, and passion for storytelling continue to make an indelible impact on the industries she touches.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Monique Lore` Stinson’s resilience was put to the test during the production of The Pandemic Project Documentary and The Pandemic Film as she traveled internationally to interview subjects. One particular challenge she faced involved managing the logistics of her travel while ensuring the film’s production continued smoothly. While traveling, Monique was tasked with securing funding for her journey and building websites for clients to help cover the costs, all while on the move.
Things got even more complicated as she found herself stuck between two countries, facing access issues with the apps she relied on to receive payments for her work. On top of this, Monique had to navigate the constantly shifting landscape of COVID-19 travel restrictions. COVID tests were required every other day, but they often expired before she could use them for her next leg of travel, leading to a continuous cycle of testing, waiting, and re-scheduling. Despite these setbacks, Monique’s determination never wavered. She adapted quickly, finding alternative ways to manage her finances and keeping the documentary’s production on track. This experience was just one of many examples where Monique’s resilience, resourcefulness, and unwavering commitment to her mission helped her overcome barriers and continue moving forward—no matter how daunting the circumstances.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
The biggest business pivot for me came during the pandemic, when I had to completely shift gears after nearly nine months of pre-planned business strategies. Instead of sticking to the original plan, I made the bold decision to travel across America and internationally during such an uncertain time. I didn’t have a clear strategy , but I knew I had to make it happen. When I’m faced with uncertainty, I always remind myself to focus on the next 500 feet ahead, trusting that my skills in casting, marketing, and sales will guide me forward. I had an unshakeable sense of purpose, that still silent voice that was undeniable and the drive kept me moving, even when the full path wasn’t clear, stable or certain.
