We recently connected with Monique Fraile and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Monique thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you think folks should manage their own social media or hire a professional? What do you do?
Since the beginning of my small business journey, I have taken on the job of managing my own social media accounts. Throughout the years, I have grown a following on Instagram and a smaller following on TikTok. I made the choice to take it upon myself, because I am a perfectionist and very picky. So far, the results have been great and I am actually very close to hitting 2000 followers, which is a major milestone for myself. A lesson I have learned throughout the years that I would like to share with other business owners is that consistency is key and you just have to keep posting every day no matter what, it will all pay off in the end.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My business journey began in May 2020 when Covid was at its peak. I wanted a way to get back to my loved ones for Mother’s Day, and an elegant yet cost efficient manner. it all came from an act of love to give back to loved ones, and quickly turned into a business. Throughout the years, I have learned the techniques needed to make an array of different custom treats like chocolate covered strawberries. I offer desserts for small or big, get together and special occasions. I am most proud of the relationships I have made with my customers throughout the years. My regular customers are the best, and is what keeps me going, especially on the harder days. In addition, I take the most pride in offering affordable and aesthetically pleasing, and yet tasty items from my customers.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
My audience on social media began simply with friends and family and Word of mouth. However, posting consistently has helped drastically especially on Instagram. Also, since the beginning of my pop-up shop journey, the networking I have developed throughout these past 10 months has helped build my audience on social media drastically.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I believe that my reputation within my market has been brought upon with my customer service. I am a one woman team and aim to reply to all inquiries within 24 hours and communicate with my customers as quickly and efficiently as possible. networking advance, and with other entrepreneurs has also helped me build a great reputation within the dessert shop market.
