We were lucky to catch up with Monika Chwajol recently and have shared our conversation below.
Monika, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?
I used to have a company that managed my social media, but I wasn’t satisfied, now I run it myself. when I run it myself, the content is credible, I can show everything right away, where I am, what I’m doing, and connect with my fans via social media. always be yourself on social media!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I was invited to the music industry by other musicians who saw me singing on Instagram. I’m painfully honest and I always say what I think. I am proud that I can make my dreams come true. I strive for them and sometimes achieve them through hard work. The music industry is very hard, and like any other business, it is not easy. but you must not give up. Life has taught me a lot, it wasn’t always colorful and easy. I’ve been working for myself since I was 15, I owe everything I have to hard work, a bit of luck and striving for a set goal.
We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process.
Yes, I also have my own clothing brand, MC1978 MC Premium, with high-quality products, tracksuits, leather jackets, evening and wedding outfits. the name of the company is my initials and year of birth MC1978 this name is patented because it will be with me for the rest of my life and maybe one day my children will take over this company, I hired seamstresses, designers, I bought sewing machines and I started designing with the help of designers’ employees. most of the projects are my ideas. I produced the collections myself. I get the highest quality materials from all over the world: Italy, Portugal, Türkiye, Ukraine. Having several other businesses, this one is the most difficult because it requires a large number of female employees. This is a business that requires a lot of commitment and a lot of time. I came to the conclusion that there are better businesses from which you can earn more money and have fewer employees, working with a large number of people is very tiring.
How did you build your audience on social media?
social media likes truth and everyday life. you definitely need to be active. post and story every day and show what we like and what we don’t like. ask questions, do live with people. Society likes to peek into other people’s lives, so if we set up a social media account, the account must live or be just an observer of others. show a bit of private life, a bit of work, travel, how you wear makeup, etc… but remember something different every day because the viewer doesn’t like boredom
