We were lucky to catch up with Monica Seif recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Monica, thanks for joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I’m Monica, an Engineer who became a photographer. I am passionate about all aspects of photography and making my clients happy. I love using natural light to deliver a beautiful picture that has a touch of fine art… I remember waking up one morning, when I was around 6 years old, and seeing my picture right next to me that my parents had just brought from the studio! boy, did it make me smile big… for not just a moment … but for years. As I got older I realized that, through using my photography talent and my love for art, I can too make so many people smile, and even tear up from happiness. Just like that photographer once did for me long time ago :)
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I have always loved art, drawing and painting since I was young in age, loved all aspects of photography when I was in elementary school. I grew up to study engineering, graduated and decided to start my photography career beside my full time engineering job. Now I have dedicated my life to making others happy by taking the picture they’ve always wanted, whether it is of their graduation, engagement, wedding, family, kids… I’m always there for them :) My most proud moment is when I took pictures of a family with a little boy who is autistic, his mom had told me that it’s ok if he doesn’t look at the camera because he never does! But by the grace of God :D I was able to get him to look at the camera throughout the whole photosession and smile big! I remember his mom calling me in tears, after seeing my pictures, and thanked me for capturing such great pictures of their son :) My most important task in life is to make others happy, and I’ll do whatever it takes to see that smile! I truly love and care about everyone of my clients :)
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Word of mouth :) I don’t advertise and I don’t send scam emails, I solely rely on word of mouth.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Being genuine and caring for my clients had been helping me a lot to build my reputation.
