Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to MoneyWay K. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, MoneyWay thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

I’ve recently released a Album on all streaming sites titled “All or Nothing”. The meaning behind this Album title is from at least 6 months – 1 year of recording and mixing for this project and literally put my all and last into this. My passion for music is unmatched especially when it comes to perfection and polishing the music the way that I hear it in my head. This is my first Album and full body of work. I spent my last dollar from investing into myself with this, that’s how much music means to me that I gambled on myself and literally gave it my all so I could never say it didn’t. This Album is very impactful for me because of the numerous hours and time I spent working and creating content with my two engineers who played a big roll also. The producers I worked with were amazing and especially the features I have on it from Tyler Royale, Ace Apollo, Landstrip Chip and more.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I go my the stage name MoneyWay K. MoneyWay is basically just a way of life for me and anybody that can relate to just hustling and making a way for themselves and their peers and families. The “K” came from a nickname a few of my close friends call me which is short for “Keenan”. I started off writing poems at the age of 8 or 9. I recorded my first song at the age of 15 and that’s what got me into making music. It started off as a group but like most groups things tend to get slip up and people go their separate ways so I proceeded as an solo artist. I would go to the studio almost everyday after school and on the weekends. I wasn’t really serious all the way with it yet, it was more so of an hobby at the time for a few years. After a few more years past I started to attend this college in Atlanta called SAE Institute where I learned how to become an audio engineer and learning more about the business side of music. While attending SAE I dropped by the LVRN studios in Atlanta meeting a friend of mine Scotty Valid who is also an artist, and that’s when I met a few ppl who were managing him and played them my music where they were interesting and later on down the week wanting to manage me also. At that point i’m 22 years old and that’s the moment I started taking music more serious. I made sure everything was full of content and that I was giving the same energy that got them interested and wanting to push the music i was creating so I had to be disciplined with myself by staying on top of my craft daily and show them and myself I was serious. For any up and coming artist keep pushing and your time will come and somebody will notice you. It happens when you don’t expect it so always being prepared is being ready for any moment that presents itself. Fast forward til now i’m releasing my first Album independently, knowing how far I came as an artist it’s amazing and feels great! I had celebrities reach out and show love and i’m continuing to grow and making my way to make a breakthrough in the industry.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

It was towards the end of 2021 I had another management reach out to me called Viral Management Group co founder Sir Julien. They manage and teamed up artist Coca vango and Lightskin Keisha so I was definitely hyped to be apart of the team. They gave me the run down on marketing and showing me the roll out process and how to have a social media presence to grab more attention and build up content for whenever I had something about to release.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

I feel like everything I went through made me who I am today and I wouldn’t change nothing but a resource I wish I had getting into this was building a solid team who has the same dreams that correlate with one another so everyone plays their position and we all win.
