Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Money Waters. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Money , appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
Over a span of 25 years I put out 3 albums independently. The Porch in 2001, Swalhaggin (Niggahlaws) in 2006 & The Porch II which dropped last year.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Money Waters id a southern hip hop artist out of Pleasant Grove, Texas. I got into the music industry when I met Micheal “Gugu” Agugua of Redumm Recordz at the time. He showed me how to make an album when no one was doing it in my neighborhood, or city for that matter. In 2001, I put out my first album, The Porch. Live blues tracks over country, soulful raps, produced mainly by Kerav Shimon. The album generated critical reviews so we released a video for the first single, “So I (the Other Side Of Trickin’)” and th e rest was history.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
To be honest, I just always wanted to represent Dallas in my own way. Hip hop is forever and for everyone. To express my art worldwide is a blessing to me itself, so the music has been my muse from the start.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding thing about my hip hop journey is to meet and work with some of my idols. Hip hop has taken me places where I got to meet the greats like the late great Pimp C of UGK and hip hop legends like Slick Rick, and Public Enemy. We just released The Porch II, where I got a chance to collaborate with legends lie The D.O.C, Special Ed, & Devin The Dude. Hip hop has made my dreams a reality
