We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Monet Anais. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Monet below.
Monet, appreciate you joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I was 13 years old and new to my church choir. Sure, I sang in musical theater and my mom tried to give me voice lessons (was really shy and resistant), but here my growth began because of my choir director. She saw something in me, started giving me solos and soon invited me to the recording studio to sing on children’s albums. The first day we recorded in the studio, I recall getting a check at the end of the day and I was absolutely shocked. I had no idea I could have that much fun, do what I love, and make money for it! This gave me confidence and fueled my passion to pursue a career in entertertainment.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I founded my company Eaves PR & Events Co. which provides public relations and events management services. I work with a select few music artists and talent helping them get the exposure they need. A few of my bigger clients need management for their social media and publications, and I’ve become an expert in starting and growing these media outlets.
Shoutout to Smart Girl Brand! We’re launching the first edition magazine this month featuring Real Housewives of Potomac star Keiarna Stewart among many other amazing self-made women. My newest client is actress Camille Bright and she’s excited to hone in on her music career. With all my clients we continue to work and grow together which is a beautiful process.
While media and clients take up most of my days, I continue working on my music and screenwriting. There are a couple of singles I’ve been working on and I’m building my brand in hopes of being an inspiration to other artists, talent, and entrepreneurs.
It’s been a long road but I’m truly just grateful for the people and opportunities God/Universe has placed in my life on this incredible journey, and I know it will only continue getting better.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
The last few years have been frightening but enlightening. I’ll explain. More than one loved one has gone through a serious life altering health issue – both physically and mentally, and it’s been challenging to say the least on all of my family. But seeing their strength and enduring such harsh realities then coming out better has given so much inspiration. While these situations affected me deeply, it only made me want to keep going that much more and remember that we’re all here for a reason. So don’t waste any moment.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Social media is quite the game! Any time a new app comes out, I am there joining and exploring. One key to growing my accounts has been being open to try new things and research. You just have to find what works for you when it comes to posting but in order to grow you need:
1. Define your brand and make sure it shows.
2. Appearance – Part of the brand is how your page looks. Platforms like TikTok this isn’t as important, everyone shoots on their iPhones, but other platforms like Instagram, accounts with high quality photos and videos tend to do much better.
3. Who’s your audience? Figure out who would most enjoy what you’re putting out there.
4. Create content that will keep people coming back to your page. I’ve seen several people especially on TikTok tap deep into their creativity. People are literally making entire series on there, filming with only themselves and no one else, and releasing “episodes”. It’s incredible!
5. Talk to people! Always respond to comments, show love on other people’s pages, you might make some friends, meet your next business partner, or get offered an opportunity.
Figure out your goals, have a plan, book your shoot, hire an editor, whatever you think it will take to move forward. You know what to do. Most importantly, have fun!
