We recently connected with Monèè and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Monèè thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?
As an artist, I find great joy and fulfillment in expressing my creativity through my work. The freedom to explore new ideas and bring them to life is truly gratifying. However, there are moments when I wonder what it would be like to pursue a regular job with more stability and routine.
The last time I had that thought was during a particularly challenging period in my artistic journey. I was facing a creative block and struggling to find inspiration. I felt overwhelmed by the uncertainty of a career in the arts and the lack of financial security that comes with it.
In that moment, I reflected on the passion and drive that led me to pursue a career as an artist. I reminded myself of the unique experiences and opportunities that come with being a creative individual. While the idea of a regular job may offer stability, it could also stifle my creativity and limit my growth as an artist.
Ultimately, I realized that being an artist is not just a job, but a calling. It may come with its challenges, but the ability to create something meaningful and impactful outweighs the potential drawbacks. I embraced the uncertainty and reaffirmed my commitment to following my passion, knowing that it is worth the risks and sacrifices.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I have always had a deep passion for music, stemming from my family’s musical background. This passion led me to take the first step into the industry when I decided to record my first song at a studio in Houston, Texas. While that song never saw the light of day, it sparked love for writing, recording, and professionally engineering music.
In addition to my music endeavors, I am also a skilled makeup artist. The combination of these two creative outlets allows me to express myself fully and connect with my audience on multiple levels.
What sets me apart from others in the industry is my dedication to each project I undertake. I believe in taking the time to perfect every release, mix, and idea to ensure that it truly represents my vision and resonates with my audience.
For potential followers, fans, and supporters, I want them to know that my music is a reflection of who I am, and I pour my heart and soul into every piece I create. I strive to create authentic, meaningful work that connects with people on a personal level.
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wish I had known about resources for recording, mixing, and mastering earlier in my creative journey. If I had the knowledge to handle these aspects myself, I could have released more songs and projects by now. Not knowing how to do these can be hindering for artists who may not have the means to invest in studio time. Access to these resources is crucial for fully realizing one’s artistic vision and potential.

Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
Non-creatives often struggle to comprehend the dedication, perseverance, and time that creatives invest in their aspirations. This commitment may appear impractical to individuals with traditional 9-5 jobs, and at times, even creatives themselves may question the feasibility of their dreams. However, as an artist, I firmly believe that there is no other path for me.
