We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Moises Molina. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Moises below.
Moises, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about one of the craziest things you’ve experienced in your journey so far.
Being at this business (insurance), you have the opportunity to listen and evaluate different situations, live styles, etc. The people give you the chance and the confidence to see their realities.
One of the several shocking experiences I’ve had in the last few years belongs to a family that didn’t have the insurance culture. Unfortunately I met them after something very bad happened to them. The head of that family one day got very sick, he was hospitalized and after several days died. At that time they didn’t have any protection (no health/life insurance). That family absorbed a debt of a couple hundred of thousand of dollars. So they lost most of personal property they had.
That situation made me feel sad for them but at the same time gave me more reasons to keep helping and teaching people about the benefits they could potentially have. I am very sure if somebody had guide them and show the importance of being insured, the end of that history was different.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am an Venezuelan immigrant. I came into the US back in 2015. I started my insurance business in Venezuela and had the opportunity to keep doing what I love here.
What I offer to the community is “prime customer service”. In my country, your insurance agent is your friend, part of your family, because at the end of the day you are giving to that person the confidence of all your personal properties, your family, your wellness. So if you have me, as your insurance agent your are in good hands. I will evaluate your situation to determine the type of coverage you need with excellent companies, so when you need it, you will be protected.
Can you talk to us about your experience with buying businesses?
As an immigrant I had so many different jobs, since factories, deliveries, etc. But I am happy to had those jobs because it made me the person I am today. I met wonderful people during my journey.
It took me 3 years to return to the insurance business and I could tell you that the god’s time is perfect. Learn, be positive and those goals you have in your mind will be materialized.
Remember that the luck, is when opportunity meets experience. So keep preparing yourself.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The best strategy: I will say that are referrals.
When you do your job well. Next will come the reference of a happy customer. The people talk about what have worked for them. Let me present it to you in this way: Let say you have a great barber. You love your cut and every time you go with that person you feel great, renew, etc. If you are super happy, you will tell your friends and family about that amazing person with great skill. Can you tell me what’s next?
Of course, those friends/family will start coming to that barbershop, to met that guy.
Happy customers and great service = More sales.
