Mohamaris, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

When starting my journey with Solskyluna I found myself in a very dark place dealing with a lot of personal issues, I wanted to feel better about myself and I knew helping and making others feel good about themselves has always been my thing. I started looking into industry’s that’s could be helpful to others and came across esthetician school. What better way to make another individual feel great than but self care? & that’s when I ventured to taking small courses to see if I was truly interested and shortly after started my education.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I am an esthetician that specializes in lash extensions , facials and body waxing. I dedicated my self to being as holistic and hands on as possible using professional products that are safe for the skin. I pride myself in really spending the quality time with my clients ensuring they get the best and the most out of their time here at Solskyluna. I pride myself in not having to rush between my clients offering them my undivided attention and time. I hear my clients needs and wants and try my absolute best and reaching their goal and creating a plan for them going forward as every client is different. My clients have constantly told me how relaxed they feel after a visit and that is one of my main goals.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

While becoming an esthetician I was also becoming an entrepreneur and being a full time mom of 2 toddlers my hands were completely full. From getting my kids ready for school to then head to school from 9am to 4pm to also be a part of an amazing program called Entrepreneurs for all In the Merrimack valley I truly felt stretched to my absolute breaking point. I was extremely exhausted and mentally drained but I completed that year with a bang! I was licensed by Feb 2024 and was able to present my business in April of 2024 winning a grand money prize and being able to open my own personal esthetic studio in Sept of 2024. I knew I couldn’t give up and so I didn’t and here I am today, totally grateful!!!

Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?

In 2022 I was able to take out a small personal loan which helped me in getting everything I needed while I was in school. I had a home studio in my attic where I practiced on family and friends. I also saved as much as I could from tips I made through out that year from my attic studio and tips from school clients.

I also won with the e for all program which helped with my moving expenses
