We recently connected with Mo Vega and have shared our conversation below.
Mo, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
My most meaningful project to me would be my latest album “No Love Lost”. I would say it’s my best work yet. From production, to the lyrics and the overall message, I believe I outdid myself. It’s my most vulnerable album thus far. Speaking on topics like God, meditation, the passing of loved ones, & expectations when I’m gone. I really enjoyed creating that album

Mo, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started writing music around 15,16 but I didn’t take it too serious until I was 18. I was a freshman in college at the time. I didn’t really care for school and I had to make a decision. Continue with a life I wasn’t satisfied with or follow my passion. So I dropped out of school to embark on my music career. It’s been a long, hard process but I am happy I chose this path instead of wondering “what if”. Since then music has take me to places I could never imagine. I’ve came a long way and still have a ways to go but I am enjoying every minute of the journey. I just recently started my own merch line designed by myself. “Lead With Love”. My brand represents peace, love and happiness. Unity.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding part of being an artist is the people you encounter. (The positive ones that’s is) The fans and supporters that support you. Hearing how you changed a life . Hearing how a song makes them feel happy, or motivated or inspired. Knowing that you’re doing something good for the community and not just making music. Actually impacting the environment in a good way.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
For me, it’s proving myself right. Not proving others wrong, but to show myself I can do what I said I could do. Not giving up and seeing it through. It’s so easy to give up these days. The tough part is staying disciplined and focused. I never wanted to take the easy way out
