Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mitchell Bienvenue. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Mitchell, appreciate you joining us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I hope that when people think about my legacy, they see someone who was passionate about making a positive impact, both professionally and personally. In my professional journey, I want to be remembered as the person who brought not only creativity and innovation but also a genuine sense of collaboration to every team I worked with. Whether we were overcoming challenges or celebrating successes, I hope to be the kind of colleague who inspired others to think outside the box and push their limits.
On a personal level, I aim to leave behind a legacy of kindness, empathy, and authentic connections with those I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. I’ve always believed that, no matter what we do, we’re all teachers and role models in some way. So, in every interaction, I try to lead by example, understanding that the way we navigate both successes and challenges can have a profound impact on others.
Building meaningful relationships and fostering a positive, inclusive environment means a lot to me. Whether it’s through mentoring, getting involved in the community, or simply being a supportive friend, I want my legacy to reflect the idea that we can all contribute to making the world a better place in our own unique ways.
In the end, I hope that people remember me as someone who made a positive difference, inspired those around me, and left behind a world that’s a bit brighter and more encouraging for future generations.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hello, everyone! I’m Mitchell Bienvenue, born and raised in the heart of Columbus, Ohio, where I still proudly call home. My journey into the world of social media and photography took an unexpected turn while I was working as a deckhand in the yachting industry. As I cruised around, I started documenting my experiences, and to my surprise, I began to gather a following. It was during these travels that my passion for storytelling through visuals truly took root.
Upon returning to Columbus, I didn’t leave my newfound passion behind. Instead, I continued creating content, expanding my focus to collaborate with brands and businesses of all sizes, both locally and nationally. What sets me apart is not just my dedication to capturing the essence of a brand but also my commitment to bringing awareness to causes close to my heart.
One cause that holds profound significance for me is raising awareness about Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), as I personally navigate life with ulcerative colitis. I’ve been fortunate enough to collaborate with crohnsandcolitis.com, contributing to the vital mission of shedding light on an invisible illness that affects not only myself but also countless others—1 in every 100 Americans and many more worldwide. This advocacy work is something I’m incredibly proud of and remains a driving force behind my content creation.
Moving forward, my goal is to continue building my platform as a positive force for issues that truly matter—whether it’s showcasing the incredible stories of brands and businesses or spreading awareness and support for the IBD community. I am driven by the belief that our voices, amplified through social media, can spark meaningful conversations and make a real impact on the things we care about.
I invite you all to join me on this journey of positivity, connection, and advocacy. Let’s continue to build a community that uplifts, inspires, and brings attention to the things that truly matter in our lives and the lives of many others. Thank you for being a part of this incredible adventure!

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Absolutely, building my audience on social media has been quite the journey, and it all began while I was working as a deckhand on a 50-meter charter yacht. Initially, it was a personal endeavor—I wanted to document the incredible moments of my yachting adventures, ensuring I’d always have memories to look back on. However, as I started sharing these experiences with family and friends online, something unexpected happened—it resonated with a broader audience interested in the world of yachting and the behind-the-scenes life of yacht crew.
When my time in the yachting industry came to a close, I redirected my lens to focus on my home state, Ohio. The transition was seamless because, at the core of it, I just love creating content and telling stories through video and photos. My philosophy is simple: there are no dull or uninteresting places in the world. It’s the mindset and attitude of individuals that determine whether a place is boring or not. So, I encourage everyone to go out and explore, whether it’s their hometown or a distant destination. There’s always something exciting and novel to discover, no matter where you are.
For those starting to build their social media presence, my advice is straightforward: just start. Hit play, start recording, and then post. Initially, it’s about the act of creating, and your content will naturally improve with practice. Stay consistent with your efforts and create relatable content in your field of interest. Patience is key—don’t be disheartened by the numbers early on. Success in building a social media presence comes with time, consistency, and a genuine passion for what you’re sharing. So, keep at it, stay patient, and enjoy the process of connecting with your audience. You’ll see the fruits of your efforts as long as you remain consistent and persistent.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Being a creative is rewarding in a number of ways. It allows me to express myself authentically and uniquely. Creativity has the power to inspire, uplift, and influence others. Your creations can touch people’s hearts, evoke emotions, and provoke thoughts. Creativity allows you to leave a lasting legacy. Through your creations, you can leave behind a body of work that continues to inspire and resonate with others long after you’re gone.
