We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Missy Sunseri a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Missy, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

My brother passing away inspired me to enter the mental health field in college and hats when I switched from business to psychology. I went through my own PTSD and trauma and hypnotherapy saved my life so I decided to go to continue my education at Hypnosis Motivation institute. My unique way of doing business is that I do not hide the PTSD and Trauma I have healed. What sets me apart from others is that i am using the techniques that helped me heal from being diagnosed with chronic PTSD, Trauma and Anxiety. I have done the healing myself and I believe that is unteachable. I feel that when your client can relate to you or understand that you have been through personal trauma then they do not feel so alone and are able to open up more. Each session I connect with the client and my intuition and become a vessel for that person to heal. I use my spiritual gifts to open a space for clients to heal or for clients to visit with pasted loved ones. What makes me completely different is i am able to call in peoples past loved ones and give them the chance to see and talk to them. I am the only person who does this that i have found. My mentors Barbara Carey and Audrey Hope have not only just gotten me through my personal healing but believed in my first time I saw them and new I was going to be a powerful healer. Barbara Carey has helped me with my business as in referring me clients, helping me find a office, and even was the one who put me through a hypnosis which I came up with the name “ The Natural Mind”. My reputation has continued to build in a positive light because my plan is to help that client heal and move on with there life. The success I have had with my clients has been the key to building my reputation. My suggestion to anyone starting a business is to take a model of someone else’s that is already successful and make your off of it and that is something I learned in NLP.

Missy, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Through certain life events I ended up coming to California after being diagnosed with chronic pstd and anxiety and started re framing and doing the hard work on healing my timeline. Decided to go to HMI because I wanted others to feel the relief I have and understand they are not their trauma. I Graduated with Honors and Started my own Business called “The Natural Mind’’, to help people heal from trauma and Ptsd working close with my mentor’s Barbara Carey and Audrey Hope top Hypnotherapist and Trauma Specialist’s. I am now a Certified NLP Practitioner and a certified Hypnotherapist with continuing Certifications in, Sports and Performance, Trauma Recovery, Weight Loss, inner child healing, Therapeutic Imagery, Mental and Emotion Release therapy, Transgender and Body Syndromes. I have my own Private Practice in Malibu, California

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I think my referrals and press has helped to build a good reputation for me, I get a lot of clients by word of mouth and repeat clients because they have a successful experience with me.
