We recently connected with Miss Primrose and have shared our conversation below.
Miss, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
One of the biggest risks I ever took was choosing to fully bet on myself as both an artist and an entrepreneur, at a time when stability would have been the “safer” choice. I had already earned my degree in psychology and was on a traditional path that made sense to everyone around me. But creatively and spiritually, I felt unfulfilled. Music had always been my therapy, my outlet, and my truth. Still, turning that passion into a real-life career felt terrifying.
The real turning point came when I decided to not only pursue music seriously, but to create opportunities instead of waiting for them. I launched my own concert platform to support independent artists, invested my own money into shows that had no guaranteed return, and put my name, reputation, and finances on the line. There were nights with small crowds, moments of loss, self-doubt, and exhaustion. I questioned myself constantly, wondering if I was being brave or reckless.
But over time, that risk transformed into purpose. My platform grew into a respected space for artists. I earned opportunities to perform on major stages, travel internationally with my music, and connect with people who found healing through my story. Beyond music, I was inspired to turn my passion for service into real community impact through nonprofit work focused on youth and disaster relief.
Looking back, the risk didn’t just change my career, it changed my confidence, my leadership, and my faith in myself. I learned that fear doesn’t mean stop; it often means you’re standing at the edge of growth. Choosing to leap taught me that purpose is built by action, not perfection, and I would take that risk again every single time.

Miss, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Miss Primrose, and I am a recording artist, entrepreneur, mental health advocate, and philanthropist driven by purpose, healing, and community impact. My journey into music did not start with fame or industry connections—it started as survival. Music became my therapy before it ever became my career. It was the place I learned how to process pain, loss, growth, confidence, and identity. Over time, what began as a personal outlet evolved into a calling to use my voice not only for entertainment, but for transformation.
I earned my degree in psychology at Georgia State University, which deeply shaped how I approach both my music and my business. Understanding the human mind, emotional behavior, and trauma allowed me to intentionally create music rooted in real life—vulnerability, confidence, heartbreak, healing, faith, and self-discovery. My work bridges the gap between artistry and mental wellness, turning life experiences into relatable soundtracks for people navigating their own journeys.
Beyond music, I am the founder of multiple creative and community-based platforms that serve independent artists, entrepreneurs, and youth. I created a live concert platform called Indie Fresh Concerts, to give emerging artists real stages, real audiences, and real opportunities without waiting for industry permission. I also run a nonprofit organization named Abundant Visions Enrichment, Inc. (AVE, Inc.) focused on youth development, mentorship, community relief, and disaster recovery efforts. Through this work, I’ve been able to pour back into the same communities that once poured into me.
What sets me apart is that I do not separate business from purpose or art from impact. Every song, event, class, program, and project I create is aligned with healing, empowerment, and opportunity. I solve problems by creating space—space for artists to perform, for youth to grow, for communities to rebuild, and for people to feel seen, heard, and valued. I don’t just sell music or host events; I build ecosystems.
What I am most proud of is my resilience. I am proud that I chose faith over fear, purpose over comfort, and authenticity over approval. I am proud that I turned personal pain into platforms that now benefit hundreds of people. I am proud that young artists see me as proof that independence is powerful. And I am proud that my nonprofit work is making real impact on the ground, not just online.
What I want people to know most about my brand is that everything I touch is rooted in integrity, excellence, and service. If you follow my journey, attend my events, listen to my music, or engage with my community initiatives, you are not just supporting a brand—you are participating in a movement built on creativity, healing, and legacy.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
My entrepreneurial thinking and leadership philosophy have been deeply shaped by a mix of intentional self-education, spiritual growth, and consistent exposure to powerful mentors and thought leaders. Some of the most impactful books on my journey include The Four Agreements, The Secret, The Magic, and Ikigai. Each of these works shaped how I view purpose, discipline, accountability, gratitude, and alignment in both life and business.
The Four Agreements taught me the power of integrity in communication and decision-making. The Secret and The Magic helped shift my mindset toward faith, manifestation, gratitude, and intentional living — showing me that energy, belief, and consistency truly matter. Ikigai helped me understand the importance of aligning what I love, what I’m good at, what the world needs, and what sustains me financially. That concept transformed how I approach both my creative career and my nonprofit work.
In addition to books, I’ve been heavily inspired by real-life mentors and thought leaders like Les Brown and Amanda Seales. Les Brown’s teachings on resilience, discipline, and pushing past fear reinforced my belief that circumstances do not define destiny. Amanda Seales’ honesty, cultural leadership, and unapologetic authenticity showed me how to own my voice, build on my intellect, and lead with both confidence and conscience.
Together, these resources helped shape who I am today as a purpose-driven entrepreneur — someone who builds with intention, leads with heart, and understands that mindset is just as important as strategy.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Yes — my creative journey is driven by a very intentional mission: to use my voice, platforms, and business ventures as tools for healing, empowerment, and opportunity. Everything I create — from music to live events to community programs — is rooted in helping people feel seen, supported, and inspired to walk fully in their purpose.
Music was my first safe space, my first form of therapy, and my first connection to self-expression. Now, I use it to remind others that they are not alone in their emotions, struggles, or growth. Beyond artistry, my mission has expanded into creating stages for other independent artists, opening doors for youth, and being present in real-world issues through philanthropy and service.
Ultimately, my goal is legacy over labels. I want to leave behind systems that continue to help people long after the spotlight shifts — programs that uplift youth, platforms that empower artists, and stories that remind people that healing and success can exist in the same space. My journey is not just about who I become, but about who I help along the way.
