We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mirko Metitiero a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Mirko, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?

My adventure in pazzoperilmare started for fun, I sent a photo with a short description to pazzoperilmare, it was successful and now here I am. More than eleven years have passed since that photo, over the years, I have made many articles, reportage and interviews, thanks to the appreciation of the people of the web if we still exist today. I like to tell the world of cruise ships and ferries in a simple way, direct and crazy.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

After writing many articles, I oversaw the growth of the magazine through a fundamental public relations activity with the managers of the major shipping companies. I like to be very precise and professional in my work, obviously if there’s a reason to have fun, I don’t hide it. The way of writing and narrating is certainly one of my unique characteristics, like the contents I have created. Think of successful columns, such as those dedicated to ships no longer in service, naval transformations, interviews with seafarers, all very popular and appreciated by the community.

We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.

I met the founder of the magazine, Carlo after several emails. One day we met in port to board a cruise ship. from that day a friendship was born that goes beyond work, We are like two hands, each helping the other.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

My goal is to tell everything that revolves around the ship planet in a simple way, be it a destination, a ship, I try to provide useful advice, vadenecum for those who are new to boarding and much more.
