We recently connected with Miranda Tate and have shared our conversation below.
Miranda, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you scale up? What were the strategies, tactics, meaningful moments, twists/turns, obstacles, mistakes along the way? We’d love to hear the backstory the illustrates how you grew the firm
I have a background in sales and marketing with training and business development. So, my first move was to lay a foundation. Most new agents don’t think to envision themselves as the employer of their business vs a real estate Salesperson. So, for me, coming in, my business plan was created and I opened shop and started building my brand.
I then figured out the demographic and psychographic makeup of my ideal customers.
I built a strong brand and without what everybody else was doing, in terms of marketing. My goal was to be different and set myself apart. Since I’m not an original Arizonian. I visited every place I was a regular
and marketed nationwide to expand my reach and my SOI in other markets.
I researched and studied which marketing channels provide the highest ROI to reach my core customers. I set my systems and processes in place, adding automation, outsourcing & marketing systems that work when I’m unavailable. In addition, I delegated tasks by hiring two VA assistants, one for administrative duties & one for social media management and content development, hired a transaction coordinator, and started a team.
These processes and systems allowed me to grow my real estate business faster and without working harder to do so. Scaling was the foundation to building a successful real estate business. Just as no house can be built without a foundation, no great business can be either.
Miranda, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a life-long real estate enthusiast, with passion for the housing ecosystem stems from early childhood. Real estate has been an interest of mine since I was younger and have always been very passionate about helping others. I was in corporate sales and leadership career for which I traveled globally. With the unfortunate time the world faced, my 100% travel career had slowed down due to the crisis. I had the time to sit down and pen out what I really wanted and loved. I needed more of a work-life balance and I craved a career with more flexibility and unlimited income potential. I knew real estate was one of my career goals I would be breaking out into, so I went for it and so far so good. With my background in sales, marketing, and business development and my love for interior design, my real estate career took off and I haven’t looked back!
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Referrals from my SOI, previous clients and REALTOR partners
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
My professionalism, brand and marketing,
