Miracle, appreciate you joining us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
The idea for my business came from a combination of my passion for cooking and a unique opportunity I stumbled upon in the summer of 2022. Before I get into that, let me give you a bit of context. I’m originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and have been living in Texas since 2019. I’ve always been passionate about the culinary arts, and after earning my degree from Nicholls State University in 2017, I launched my first business, Catering Miracles LLC, in November 2017. I started small, offering private chef services, catering for large events, and teaching cooking lessons around the Houston area.
But my business really took off when I was introduced to the concept of a floating brunch in July 2022. It was a unique dining experience on the water that immediately caught my attention. The idea struck me so strongly that, without hesitation, I ordered the baskets needed to create my version of the experience that very day. I knew I had something special, and the next few months were all about figuring out how to turn that spark of inspiration into a fully-fledged service.
The first step was planning. I needed to design the experience down to the last detail—what the food would look like, how it would be served, and what kind of atmosphere I wanted to create. This wasn’t just another catering service; it had to feel luxurious and one-of-a-kind. I was intentional about everything, from the presentation to the items I used to serve the food. I was essentially creating a new brand within my existing business, so I had to ensure the service was distinct and memorable.
Another important challenge was logistics. Not everyone has access to a private pool, which is a big part of the floating dining experience. I had to figure out how to make this experience accessible to more people. That’s when I discovered Swimply.com, a platform that allows people to rent private pools by the hour. This solved my problem and opened up a whole new market of potential clients. It was a key turning point in turning the idea into reality.
By August 2022, I booked my first floating brunch, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. The service quickly gained traction, but I didn’t stop there. I realized I could expand the offering to include more than just brunch—we could do lunch, dinner, and everything in between. Over time, the service evolved from a floating brunch concept to a more expansive fine dining on water experience. It became clear that I needed to separate this unique service from my existing catering company, so in January 2024, I officially launched Luxurious Floating Miracles as its own LLC.
Throughout this entire process, I’ve learned that building something new from the ground up requires a lot of flexibility and creativity. There were countless details to figure out—from sourcing the right equipment to creating the right vibe and managing the logistics of working in such an unconventional setting. But every challenge was an opportunity to refine the brand and make it better. By staying focused on the end goal, I was able to create a business that not only offers great food but an unforgettable dining experience.
After several successful collaborations and a viral Instagram moment that brought in thousands of new followers, Luxurious Floating Miracles has become more than I ever envisioned. The past few years have been a whirlwind of growth and learning, but I’m incredibly proud of how far the business has come. From an idea sparked by a single experience, I’ve built a brand that stands out in a crowded market and continues to evolve.

For those who may not have heard of me before, I’m the founder of Luxurious Floating Miracles, a catering and private chef company that specializes in creating unforgettable dining experiences—both on land and water. My journey into the culinary industry began with my first company, Catering Miracles LLC, which I established in Louisiana in 2017. Over the years, I honed my craft by offering private chef services, large-scale catering events, cooking lessons, and chef consulting gigs. Cooking has always been my passion, and I was drawn to the idea of using food to create meaningful, memorable moments for my clients.
As my business grew, so did my vision. I wanted to offer something truly unique and distinctive—something that would set me apart from other catering companies. That’s when I launched Luxurious Floating Miracles, which blends luxury private dining with the serenity and beauty of dining on water. In addition to traditional catering services, I provide exclusive water dining experiences, allowing clients to enjoy gourmet meals while floating in serene pools.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Social media, particularly Instagram, has been my most valuable platform for attracting new clients. As a highly visual medium, Instagram allows me to showcase my products in both photo and video formats, which is essential for effectively displaying the quality and appeal of my offerings. Beyond that, the platform fosters direct interaction with potential customers through comments and direct messages, providing an accessible channel for engagement and relationship-building.
One of my favorite features on Instagram is Stories. I use Stories to present fresh content daily without the need to post directly on my feed. This approach not only keeps my content dynamic but also respects the viewer’s choice to engage—allowing them to decide whether to watch, rather than feeling pressured by frequent feed posts, which could potentially overwhelm new followers.
To grow brand awareness and expand my reach, I run targeted ads on Instagram. From my experience, running multiple ads isn’t always necessary unless I’m focusing on different audiences in various regions. I generally run one carefully curated ad that consistently attracts attention and drives traffic to my page. Interestingly, for every 10 people who see my ad, one visits my page, and of those visitors, about 70% choose to follow my account.
Another crucial tool in my strategy is the Linktree in my bio, which serves as a hub for all my brand-related content. This link directs users to key resources like my company’s website, a video on how to book with us, media features such as interviews and magazine articles, a sign-up for exclusive emails, and a link to my shop where customers can purchase my signature seasonings and keepsake items.
Because I offer a luxury service, I understand that not every person who visits or follows my page is ready to book right away. Instagram, combined with Linktree, allows potential clients to explore all aspects of my brand at their own pace. Many save my information for significant moments in their lives, whether it’s for a birthday celebration, a group trip to Houston as an inland excursion, or a special surprise for a loved one.
Even when immediate leads are not coming in, I continue to run ads, understanding the long-term value of building a following of potential clients. These followers may not book right away, but by maintaining an ongoing presence, I’m nurturing relationships that could lead to future bookings
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I am currently in the process of transitioning from one catering company to another, a decision that has been both challenging and transformative. Initially, I contemplated managing both businesses, as each offered distinct concepts. However, after careful consideration, I ultimately decided to consolidate my efforts into a single brand. Let me share why I chose to make this shift and how I combined the two ventures.
My previous catering company, Catering Miracles LLC, was established in Louisiana in 2017. Over the years, I provided a variety of services, including private chef bookings, large-scale catering events, cooking lessons, and chef consulting gigs. I invested heavily in this business—purchasing equipment, creating custom-branded items, and outfitting team members with uniforms. Letting go of all I had built, particularly after such significant investments, was an incredibly difficult decision. It took me the better part of this year to come to terms with it.
When I launched Luxurious Floating Miracles, I initially saw it as a separate brand but operated it as a service within Catering Miracles. Over time, however, I realized that Luxurious Floating Miracles had its own identity, and in early 2024, I officially registered it as a separate LLC in Texas. It wasn’t until October that I made the decision to fully transition the services I wanted to keep from Catering Miracles over to Luxurious Floating Miracles.
Moving forward, I will continue to offer the services I’m passionate about—private chef experiences, chef consulting, and large-scale event catering—under the Luxurious Floating Miracles brand. The primary reason for consolidating the two companies is that Luxurious Floating Miracles has experienced rapid growth and has a unique, standout appeal. Instead of spreading my resources thin by marketing two separate businesses, I decided it was more strategic to leverage the distinctiveness of Luxurious Floating Miracles. Its uniqueness, particularly the water dining experience, has set it apart from traditional catering companies, and this differentiation gives me an edge in attracting and retaining consistent clientele.
By focusing on one cohesive brand, I can streamline my efforts, reduce marketing costs, and offer a wider range of services—all while continuing to stand out in a competitive market.
The decision to launch Luxurious Floating Miracles as a franchise also reinforced my commitment to consolidating everything into one brand. Offering Luxurious Floating Miracles as a franchise allowed me to share this unique concept with others who want to bring luxury dining experiences to their own markets. Managing two separate companies would have spread my resources too thin, but by focusing solely on Luxurious Floating Miracles, I’ve been able to streamline my efforts, focus on quality and growth, and build a business model that others can replicate. This transition, while challenging, has allowed me to harness the full potential of my brand and position it for future expansion through franchising.
