We recently connected with Mina Mendoza and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Mina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Taking a Risk
When I think of the field I am in now, I think about taking a risk. I did something that was completely out of my comfort zone. I never spoke on a microphone and yet to people on LIVE and on CAMERA……..yikes!
But I did it.. and it felt AMAZING. I immediately came to life when I started to hear my own voice. I gained this confidence in seconds and just kept going. I was a guest on a podcast show and soon after I started hosting my own show and BAM, The Mina Mendoza Show was born.
My show is about unhindered empowerment. I want to know what you are doing, why you are doing it and anything else after! We get spicy , we are blunt and most of all we have FUN. I practice inclusivity with my show and never shame anyone for what they are trying to do. I just hope that I inspire others to be who they are and to always keep going!
Stay Spicy my friends
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
MY name is Mina Mendoza
I was a guest on a podcast show , The Blaze and Smiff Show. The owner of the radio station Say, CEO of 8th Squad Rebel Radio saw something in me and gave me my own show.
The Mina Mendoza Show was then created and so far been going strong. I have transitioned thru studios and am now part of the Bravery Studios family in Garfield and growing. I have met many people in my field and enjoy listening to people’s journeys. I just want to be a positive footprint in people’s lives. I would love to interview everyone, I want the show to be a household name, like Oprah, a mix of Crisitina, and a mix The Jimmy Fallon Show.
I am still building my brand and everyday is progress. I am just living and going to continue living and filming so keep following your spicy Latina!
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
To be completely non judgmental and help when we can. Allow people to be themselves and let them strive. Don’t gatekeep and allow someone to grow and to not hinder. Many times people do have a hidden agenda and keep not disclose information because they are jealous. This is not cool, we should eta community and be able to help others when we can.
Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
Learning to use Tiktok earlier. I felt like I got into that social media outlet late in the game, but not too late. I was surprised to see younger humans being able to create these complex videos, that’s when I had to wake up and keep up with what’s going on! You guys keep me young!
