Min , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Well, how it all started! When it came to starting my graphic design business, it wasn’t easy. I wasn’t able to even do any design or something. But one day, I wanted someone to do me my birthday flyers and they agreed to get it done. Paid the money and the person couldn’t get it done until my birthday past.
After my birthday, felt very bad and I took my computer and started creating mess. I will create a flyer and it’s just wasn’t professional and I will get laughed at. So with more mockery and laughter coming at me, it motivated me to keep pushing. As I was pushing, it all started to make sense.
When it started marking sense, people started calling me to do their flyers, and as they say, practice make perfect! It sure did. As I continued to do it, more customers stated contacting and it became a big business.
Moral of the story: Don’t give up no matter how hard, delayed or no support. I you know your purpose, nothing can stop you!

Hello!
My name is Rose Wento, and I hail from Monrovia, Liberia in West Africa. I have been living in the United States for 16 years now and currently reside in Phoenix, AZ.
I am a gospel recording artist, model, entrepreneur and actress. In addition to these roles, I engage in motivational speaking and minister the gospel through both songs and the spoken word. I proudly serve as the youth president of my Liberian community, where I take on a leadership role. Additionally, I work in the airline and medical fields.

I do graphic design as a business and have added event planning and decorations. It all started when I needed to do something for my birthday which was a flyer, but unfortunately the person I paid never did that until my birthday was over with. Me being so angry which I shouldn’t have done that, I took my laptop and started creating messed that nobody understood that I’m on a mission to accomplish something.
My place of discipline came in were no matter what people said about the messed that I was creating, the laughter and everything that was threw at me, consistency was the keys. I never stopped. I kept going no matter who didn’t believed in me.
Fast forward, as times and years went by, it finally made sense and started gaining more confidence and customers. Now is a well known business without me going to school to learned the trade but just constant.
What set me apart from the others is my consistency of not giving up. My confidence that no matter how long things take, as long as I don’t give up, it will come to pass. And God is my number one reason to keep pushing and believing in myself. Because He gives me strength and second chances everyday. I used those to inspired others.
How did you build your audience on social media?
For sure. How was I able to build my audience on social media? In short, I always made sure that no matter what I created behind closed doors, I always made sure that I asked my customers to post the work on my social media. Not only that, but I also believed in branding yourself and being professional! I work on all those and kept keeping my audience posted everyday.
My advice to those starting their business or trying to build social presence is to remain consistent in your updates, remaining positive and professional in everything you do. Using your hashtags.
Professionalism are key elements in building a strong brand presence. Engaging your audience regularly helps to keep them invested in your journey. Using relevant hashtags can also increase your visibility and attract potential customers who might be interested in your work.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
“My most effective way of attracting new clients is by showcasing the products of my existing clients to those who haven’t yet seen or used our offerings. This approach always seems to capture their interest!”
