We recently connected with Mimi Chau and have shared our conversation below.

Mimi, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

I am dedicated to empowering women to embrace their feminine power, step into leadership, and thrive in every aspect of life by nurturing a cohesive, authentic foundation of mind, body, and spirit. This mission evolved into a business idea, inspired by the lessons I’ve learned through my life experiences and entrepreneurial journey.

Let me ask you this: If you had a crystal ball that revealed the answers to your deepest questions, how would you act on that knowledge? How would you create your life? What would you change? This crystal ball is an analogy for the big question I asked myself during a sacred plant medicine ceremony at a seven-day retreat in Costa Rica with a group of global entrepreneurs: ‘What is my soul’s purpose?’

By my late twenties, I was running a six-figure business. The pressure of leadership was overwhelming—juggling relationships with investors, business partners, employees, customers, and vendors while building a community around my business was challenging. I was hands-on in every aspect of the business, from day-to-day operations to sales, marketing, and manufacturing. It demanded constant attention, seven days a week. It was my first business venture, so there was much to learn about entrepreneurship. I ran this business for eight years and eventually became extremely burnt out.

If I have to recall a memory that put me on my spiritual path, it’s this particular one. It’s 8 pm, and everyone has gone home. It’s dark out, and I’m breaking down behind my cafe counter, crying in desperation for something to change. I felt so lost and overwhelmed. Just moments ago, I received a call informing me that my 24-year-old employee had passed away from an overdose. I had a one-year-old baby waiting for me at home and legal issues stemming from a tumultuous business partnership. I felt the weight of the world on my shoulders. It was a tough and dark moment that changed my life for the better. Now, looking back, I recognized these moments as pivotal growth experiences.

After dedicating myself to deep inner work and self-reflection, I realized that I am an empath who a had tendency to be a people pleaser, struggled with saying no, and took on others duties and responsibilities. I was a major workaholic and struggled with a ‘not enough’ scarcity mindset as an immigrant kid from Vietnam who grew up in adversity. Much of this was influenced by my Asian American cultural norms, where hard work is deeply ingrained. It’s common to prioritize being critical and pursuing excellence. I didn’t know how to pause, recognize, let alone celebrate milestones, mine or my team’s accomplishments. There was never enough time to stop and smell the roses, so to speak. Hustle has been my way of life for as long as I can remember. It felt like I had been running a marathon my entire life, but now, I no longer wanted to keep running—or maybe it’s because I was forced to stop. I had chronic pain, a dysregulated nervous system, and deteriorating mental health from overworking and burnout. This is how I discovered meditation, Reiki, and other holistic modalities that changed my life.
“What is my soul purpose?” The answer that came to me during the sacred plant medicine ceremony was “to help people heal in their mind, body, and have faith.” The sacred medicine revealed that I was destined to collaborate with experts like Dr. Joe Dispenza. I wrote this down on a piece of paper and kept it in the back of my mind, knowing this is my north star and where my career is headed.

My first business venture was a plant-based cafe and cold-pressed juice manufacturer. This venture taught me valuable lessons about the natural healing benefits of consuming living foods, the magical properties of plants, and the importance of cleansing our bodies. After nearly a decade working in the wellness industry, I firmly believe that well being and mindfulness will continue to rise in prominence, much like AI in the tech world. As technology advances, we must also evolve and elevate our consciousness, becoming more intentional in how we live our lives.

Today, I intentionally apply my core life learnings and values, guided by my north star of assisting people to elevate in their mind, body, and spirit. In a world where many feel disconnected, I am inspired to ensure that people feel less alone and live happier, more fulfilling lives. My goal is to make a global impact, accessible to anyone who wants to create positive change in their lives.

Gold Package: In a 90-minute customized session, I bring my full toolkit, which includes energy clearing, executive coaching, sound healing, crystal healing, and Angelic frequency, among others. This comprehensive approach takes our work to the next level, focusing on clearing energetic or mindset blocks and guiding the client to tune into their unique essence. Through deep guided meditation, we work at a subconscious level to shift perspectives, combined with executive coaching to help them reach their goals and dreams. Working in the quantum field adds an extra dimension of excitement and possibility to the transformation process.

The VIP experience offers a 1 to 3-month container for dedicated executive coaching clients who are prepared to show up as their best selves and do their best work. In this exclusive program, clients trust that I hold a safe space for them to go all in. Sessions are conducted weekly or bi-weekly.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?

I’ve designed the client experience to offer various levels of engagement, ranging from in-person events to group online sessions, and the most intimate 1-on-1 coaching sessions. It’s important to me that each client understands that I genuinely care about them. I approach my work with integrity, ensuring that each client feels valued and supported at every level of engagement. This integrity extend to the experts and brands that I collaborate with.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

It was really tough to make the decision to shut down my first business. It’s crazy how we can experience an identity crisis when we’re an entrepreneur without a venture to work on. I thought that in my next venture, I “should” apply everything I’d learned from my last business into this next one… So, I was considering getting into manufacturing products again because I had experience in it. However, thanks to meeting a friend who is the founder of an assessment test called “Genius of You,” I learned that I have natural talent in other areas. It’s much better for me to create a venture in a line of work that energizes me, not just because I am competent at it. I learned that in business, it’s okay to take a loss for future gain. As soon as I had that realization, I closed out my second venture after working on it for a year to start my third business, which is the one I am establishing today. Being an entrepreneur requires a lot of patience, trusting that success will come over time through learning and working on the craft and on the business.
