We recently connected with Miles Weber and have shared our conversation below.
Miles, appreciate you joining us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard.
A lot of major brands throughout the industry operate on the basis of quantity over quality to keep up with the latest trends , styles and to keep a consistent money flow. A unique thing about my brand is how personal it truly is. What most people don’t know is the meaning behind my designs. Each design tells a story about moments in my life. I don’t just create designs to follow latest trends or to just keep numbers up I wait until I personally can relate to whatever design I come up with next. It’s been sometime since my last drop which many other brands would never go two months without a new drop but for me I am waiting for that next design to come straight from my life so my brand continues to tell my story.

Miles, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Most people look at me and see me for my occupation “A professional Basketball Player” but what they don’t see is just a man from Chicago trying to write his own story. After going through a lifetime of challenges, trials and tribulations in 2020 I put my life story all in a picture on a random blank page in a sketch book and from that moment forward I knew I would be more than just a basketball player. Something I continue to pride on is the fact that some may see my clothing line & just fall in love with the designs without knowing each one tells a story. As I continue to grow my brand I wish to continue just showing my community, fans & peers that you truly can be whatever you want to be. Never let your present situation dictate your future days. Invest in yourself and find your calling. Never set limitations on your path in life. Look at me one morning I wake up a professional basketball player and in the same night I go to sleep as an entrepreneur and it’s always because I never let my situation at hand determine who I am or what I become.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
If I had to choose some words to best describe my basketball career, I would say the road less traveled. Even at such a young age I always had to overcome difficulties and challenges when it came to my basketball career I remember growing up in middle school not making a team because I wasn’t the same size as everybody else I remember in high school being one of the most talented players on the team But barely getting any playing time. I remember in college having so much talent to share but yet going from school to school because I just couldn’t find school in which i felt was home which lead to later challenges when going in the world of professional basketball. Most teams if not all teams won’t even look at you with the proper resume. A resume is always something that is highly valued in the sports industry because it tells the players journey ,latest teams, last stats, and overall defines the value of a player. Due to me having to face all the challenges in my younger ages it made it to be difficult to be considered for a contract simply because others had a qualifying résumé; but that is something I’ve never let stop me. It’s hard sometimes when i know i put in more hours in the gym than most guys; I train harder than most guys but because of things out of my control in my younger ages I am automatically at a disadvantage going in. Each day, I pride myself on my resiliency, which has gotten me to where I am today. Going through all these challenges and remaining resilient I am now entering my fourth season as a professional basketball player, which many never even thought was possible based on my past of always being at odds in playing career. Many others would’ve quit if they were ever in my shoes but I pride on that & that’s where i find my motivation to leave it all on the court every time i step foot on

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
One of most effective ways I’ve grown, my clientele is by just using my networking and social media. Before I began my company, I personally had a big social media following so once I decided to launch my brand, I knew one of the best things I could do is use my social media platform to promote my brand. Being apart of the professional basketball community has also help with getting my brand out there & worn by celebrities in the entertainment industry. As I continue to grow, I hope I can continue to use my platform to continue my growth with my clientele for my brand.
