Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Miles Squiers. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Miles, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
It’s almost like my family had be preparing me to do what I wanted to do my whole life. I originally thought that film would be the industry I fell into, but as I got older I realized how much more expensive it is to start a career there. A camera alone is at a starting price of $50. The good ones are a few hundred.
But my parents let me kinda pick what industry or passion I wanted to fall into. At first it was basketball, then I got injured during the height of recruitment and turned to the thing that has pushed and inspired me all along: Music.
I think if I didn’t think that it was lame to be a musician I would’ve landed where I am today sooner. I was a lone wolf in right school. Found my groups much later than most people due to certain circumstances. I didn’t realized that music was what I was meant to do until I went to Belmont University.

Miles, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m just gonna put my artist description here because I’m pretty slammed at the moment. Just know it’s written in the third person:
Miles is a producer, writer, and performer with a unique sound that blends alternative Hip-Hop, Pop, and R&B music. Born in San Francisco and raised in Greenbrae, California, his multiracial roots led him to appreciate many genres of music. From jazz to hip-hop to rock & roll, he adopted his sound and skills from a very young age. This musical fusion is evident and very present in his music today.
Miles is known as being “extremely collaborative” working with artists such as Kastelo, Matoby, Nai’a Rose, Serrano, Lite, Elise Rose, Eamon Hill, and more. His songs BLACK CHEVY, WOAH and TAKE IT? have each reached over 90,000 streams collectively on Spotify and his audience is only growing. With his melodic, cinematic, and warm sound Miles aspires to captivate an audience all over the world.
Across a catalog of more than 50 songs, Miles explores themes of love, heartbreak, and self-reflection with immersive production and vivid storytelling. His 2025 releases, including “Somebody,” “In The Wrong,” and “Take A Chance,” showcase his evolving sound; mixing moody R&B textures with alt-pop energy and introspective lyricism.
His newest single “Pandora’s Box” is a cinematic alt R&B/pop track with immersive production and a haunting vocal that explores hidden secrets in relationships.
Whether creating for himself or producing for other artists, Miles Squiers continues to build a distinct sonic world rooted in honesty, emotion, and cinematic depth.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
I want to make someone out there in the world feel seen. Maybe someone who came from similar situation as me.
At the end of the day, I think if I had heard the music I was making now when I was growing up, I would be able to handled more of the struggles that came my way.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Honestly? Just go support that friend of yours that’s doing something different or interesting. They’re not weird. They just view the world a little differently than you and you can learn from them.
That’s how you support artists. You enter their world, try to understand it, if you do and you align with that world you help em out!
