We recently connected with Mila May and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Mila , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
The most meaningful project I’ve worked on to date is a mural titled “Day Dream” created for Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart in Las Vegas, NV. This project allowed me to channel my creativity in new ways and pushed me to dive deeper into my own imagination.
Personally, I identify as a daydreamer—someone who steps outside of reality to make sense of the world. This project felt like an extension of that habit, allowing me to give form to abstract thoughts which worked perfectly with Meow Wolf vision.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Under the name Green Morning I create art, paint murals, and collaborate with clients to bring their ideas to life. My work spans a variety of mediums, from stickers, pins, T-shirts and prints to large-scale wall art. I showcase and sell my creations at local Las Vegas markets like First Friday, Life is Beautiful, and Market in the Alley. I’ve painted murals in Las Vegas, Henderson, and Reno for events like Life is Beautiful, and companies like T-Mobile and American Express. Additionally, I work with individual clients and firms to craft logos, illustrations, and other designs that tell a company’s unique story, helping them connect with their audience in a meaningful way.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
I love seeing how my designs evolve from the time I begin sketching to the final work. This happens all the time, and it’s especially gratifying when I work on large scale murals in public spaces. Things that stand out to other people are often completely different than what I thought, so it’s interesting to see my art take a life of its own.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My creative journey has been a process of discovery. At its core, I create for the sake of creating—making art because it brings me joy. However, as I continue to grow and evolve, the mission behind Green Morning is becoming clearer. The more I explore and experiment, the more I realize that my work is about creating a sense of wonder, inviting others to pause, reflect, and find a spark of joy. This mission—of fostering a sense of connection, play, and positivity—has become an integral part of my artistic expression.
