Hi Mikelle , thanks for joining us today. Almost all entrepreneurs have had to decide whether to start now or later? There are always pros and cons for waiting and so we’d love to hear what you think about your decision in retrospect. If you could go back in time, would you have started your business sooner, later or at the exact time you started?

if I could go back in time, I wish that I started my business sooner. I started my business in April 2021. I was a college student trying to get my associates degree and I was about a year and a half out of the military trying to figure out what’s next in my life. I feel like if I started sooner, I would’ve been more confident in my skill and I wouldn’t have been so scared to just do me! What would’ve changed about? My experience is that I would have more time and experience under my belt. At the end of the day Gods timing is always right although I do wish I started sooner. I am exactly where I need to be.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

my name is Mikelle Thomas and I am now 24 year old, licensed esthetician, and make up artist. I got into my industry about two years ago when I decided to take doing make up seriously. The services are provide our full face soft glam’s. Although I am licensed a situation, I focus more so on make up and giving skin care tips. The problems I solve for my clients is the before and after care of your skin when it comes to make up and that’s what I think that’s me apart from others. I don’t know everything and I think that’s what kind of helps me stand out because I’m always open to learn and do my research before I give out information. The thing that I am most proud of and want people to know about my brand/work, is that I’m always willing to work with someone and I love how personable I am and can be. Whenever you sit in my chair, you would think we know each other from back in the day. It’s always a vibe to work with me and you will never feel uncomfortable.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

I don’t have a huge following, but one thing I can say about building your audience on social media is be consistent with your posting and use ads! Ads and continuous posting will get you so far it’s crazy.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

This isn’t really a story to share. However, I will say that in regards to my resilience, you don’t become a success overnight I’m not even where I want to be with my business, but I work hard every chance that I get to really put myself out there, and make sure I provide an outstanding service for those who would like to be serviced by me and to keep them coming back, I never give up and no matter how many cancels or no-shows appear. I will never get upset about it because it’s life if you win some and you lose some.
