We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mike Vercetti a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Mike , appreciate you joining us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
Ive been taking risk since the beginning with this sh**. It was never promised, only thing thats guaranteed with this lifestyle choice is a Failed Attempt or a Successful Attempt. Thats the biggest risk in all of this is understanding that its not promised, its all about what you put into it, is what will base what you get OUT of it. That in itself is a huge risk if you ask me.

Mike , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Im an independent artist hailing from FLINT MICHIGAN in the midwest region of the United States. Im currently residing in the Bay Area Of California, the home of the independent hustlers if you ask me. I make music and i also design merch and clothing for my brand as well. I make intricately put, smooth, inspirational, hustler playa hiphop music if you was to ask me the Genre of my music . Ive been making music since i was young, like age 14. I started chasing the goal in 2012 and was never truly consistent with my dream chasing up until 2021 honestly. At this point in the hustle, im just focused on creating lasting, quality, dope, creations for the ones who support and rock with me. Im also in process of pushing the brand to a bigger audience to gain worldwide appeal as well. The mission isnt over until its Over.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Being able to express your emotions, feelings, ideas, in a artistic way. I cant say that enough, making music is poetry to me as well. Its therapeutic, Its soothing. Its similar to having a good meal or cold beverage after a long hard ass day of hustling and working. It relaxes me mentally, physically, and spiritually at the same time. Being an artist is the only way ive found this release naturally.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Staying consistent, staying connected with the ones who chose to fuck with me in the first place NO MATTER WHAT. Social media presence is huge in this day in age. Im actually one a new IG page, they shut my last one down with like 3300 followers, nothing major, something slight but those was organic people ive met and garnered support and relationships with over the years. YOU GOTTA STAY IN THEY FACE!! If not, the fucked up IG algorithm will have nobody checking for ya shit and will slowly start to forget about you
