We were lucky to catch up with Mike Sideco recently and have shared our conversation below.
Mike, appreciate you joining us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
I had entered the Physical Therapy field in 1992 as a PT Tech , then as a Licensed PT Assistant in 1996, then received my Master’s in PT in 2000. Through it all, I always felt that my mission in life was to help people heal : physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. In essence, the mission to “Make Man Whole Again ” in the small, simple but varied opportunities along my way. I always believed in the saying, “God doesn’t call the people who are equipped, He equips the people that he calls”. That being said , I always prayed and wished for God to give me the grace and the healing hands to respond to His call in my life.
The defining moment was when I received specific certifications in Trigger Point Dry-needling and Sports Manual Therapy (that included Spinal and Extremity Manipulations) did I realize that I was slowly being equipped to clinically manage sports and chronic injury cases in one of the most effective and efficient ways that help restore normal mobility and return patients back to sport.

Yes, Pivoting from Home Health to Outpatient Sports Physical therapy.
After 16 years for doing Home Health PT and serving the Senior Community from which I learned empathy, patience and compassion. I switched to Outpatient Sports and serving the young and active Community for which I learned passion, commitment and dedication.
All of which , taught me how to “Make Man Whole” in different stages in life, deal with different age groups, ethnic/ cultural diversity and meet my clients at the level of their need more effectively.
