Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mike Pinette. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Mike, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
The most meaningful project I’ve worked on has to be my involvement with the Sphinx Code. The Sphinx Code is a unique personal development and self-discovery technology that unveils the secret code, or blueprint of personal subconscious archetypes. Each blueprint is unique and can unveil an incredibly vast amount of useful knowledge about individuals’ lives, enabling alignment and activation of personal empowerment. My journey with the Pshinx Code started in 2021, amidst the natural beauty of Molokai, Hawaii, where I deeply connected with the ancient archetypes.
Over two and a half transformative years, I explored these universal symbols, learning and growing with each archetype. The process was both a creative and spiritual rite of passage, leading me to a deeper understanding of myself and the world around me.
Creating the First Edition of the Sphinx Code Tarot was the culmination of this journey. It holds a special place in my heart as it’s not just my personal transformation captured in imagery, but also a tool I hope can help others unlock their own journeys of self-discovery and empowerment.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Mike, an artist and a storyteller, deeply connected to the symphony of life through sound and sensation. My sanctuary has always been music, a place for expressing those profound emotions that words just can’t capture. It’s led me through a transformative journey, weaving together somatic arts, visual artistry, and a deep dive into the subconscious.
My canvases are like mirrors, reflecting hidden parts of my being and making the unseen seen. They’ve become a way for me to dance with shadows and symbols, unlocking doors to deeper self-awareness. I’ve complemented this artistic journey with training in energy medicine, hypnotherapy, and trauma-informed practices, aiming to create a transformative tapestry for others to explore their own depths.
In my artwork and collaborations, I strive to translate unspoken emotions and the beauty of nature into visual stories, creating a space for connection and reflection. Over the past six years, this journey has taken me from restaurant consulting in Bogota to art residencies in Central and South America, embracing the unknown and finding fulfillment in the process.
I’m most proud of the trust and surrender that this journey has required, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my gifts with the world. To my potential clients and followers, know that my work is an invitation—a call to embark on your own journey of self-discovery, sound, soul, and artistic expression. Let’s explore this symphony of life together, remembering and reclaiming our innate brilliance along the way.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
my creative journey is driven by a profound mission: to facilitate a deep, transformative connection between individuals and their inner worlds. Through my artwork and collaborative projects, I aim to create visual stories and experiences that evoke emotions, provoke thought, and inspire a journey of self-discovery and expression.
My goal is to serve as a bridge, connecting the spiritual and the scientific, the ancient wisdom and the contemporary insight, to help others uncover and reclaim their innate brilliance and creativity. I believe that by exploring the depths of our subconscious and embracing the shadows and symbols that dwell within, we can find healing, understanding, and a profound sense of connection to ourselves and the world around us.
In essence, my mission is to create art that resonates on a deep, soulful level, encouraging introspection, awakening, and a reconnection to the purest depths of our hearts.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
There’s something incredibly fulfilling about translating the intangible—emotions, dreams, and subconscious imagery—into a visual form that others can see, feel, and resonate with.
Art provides a unique language that transcends words, allowing for a form of communication that is felt rather than spoken. When someone looks at my artwork and feels moved, understood, or inspired, it confirms the universal nature of our experiences and emotions. It creates a shared space of vulnerability and connection, which is both humbling and immensely gratifying.
Moreover, the creative process itself is a source of joy and self-discovery. Each piece of art is a journey, often filled with unexpected turns and moments of clarity. It’s a dance with the unknown, a space where intuition leads and the logical mind takes a back seat. In these moments of flow and creation, I find a sense of purpose and alignment that is hard to put into words.
In essence, the most rewarding aspect is the ability to touch the hearts of others while simultaneously exploring and expressing my own, creating a cycle of connection, understanding, and shared humanity.
