We recently connected with Mike Moore and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Mike, thanks for joining us today. Some of the most interesting parts of our journey emerge from areas where we believe something that most people in our industry do not – do you have something like that?
Most people, unfortunately, disagree with the fact that GOD owns the business world. He created it! Nothing exists today that exists WITHOUT HIM!
Let me explain as well the GOD that I am talking about because there are a lot of gods these days. The GOD I am speaking about sent HIS SON, only SON, to put on human flesh and live among us, HE was crucified, died, buried and resurrected from the dead. His name is YESHUA/JESUS. That’s the GOD I am referring to!
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
The industry I am in is Mergers and Acquisitions. I am an advisor for one of the largest Investment Banks in the middle market. My time in Private Equity Finance paved the way and gave me the experience to assist privately held middle market companies achieve maximum value when they are ready for their liquidity moment they have waited for their entire careers! The most difficult decision that owners face is when to exit and how to do it. We provide the most sophisticated approach to alleviating the unknowns and fears that most owners will inevitably face.
Having to stand beside owners as they navigate the elements they have no control over, like: Interest rates, Inflation, Taxes, Economic cycles, Demographics and Foreign buyers, etc.
The relationship side of business is what sets us apart from the rest. People buy/sell from people. Setting our egos aside (EGO…Easing God Out) and allowing the relationship to foster the lead is the decisive factor. Most companies have the talent. What lacks is the empathy and relationship to carry to the finish line!
Customer focused? NO! Client focused? NO! Persona focused? NO! Take the A off of persona and what do you have? A Person. The industry lacks this….focusing on a person period!
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
That’s an easy one. Building relationships with people. Getting past the what people do and getting to the why they do it. It’s one thing to know what people do for a living. Just read the title. To know why they do it, requires a deeper more intimate conversation. Taking someone to lunch is not that big a deal. people have to eat lunch during their business day. But getting someone to dinner, Saturday lunch or to a social event with their spouse after hours is entirely different. THAT requires another level of relationship. Developing this over time fosters your reputation!
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Keeping in touch with clients is an extension of what I wrote in the prior question. Making friendships with people. Caring about more than the deal. When caring more about the deal is apparent to a person then the deal becomes secondary in the relationship. They are going to do business with someone. Why not you? You have the relationship!!
