We were lucky to catch up with Miguel Carmona III recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Miguel, thanks for joining us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
Here at Clipnwhip we do quite a few things differently then the industry standard. Our most obvious difference is that we pride ourselves on not having an exact physical location or a physical hub where we conduct haircuts, hairstyles, and any other health/beauty services. We do this for one to maximize the convenience and deliver a one-of-a-kind experience you receive when you book with us by coming to you no matter where you’re located. We have master artist available, that have years of experience that are certified to perform specific services that traditional artist cannot, for example master barber can use chemicals in you hair, regular barber can’t.
The second unique quality about us is that our mobile app is used for all our bookings, reviews, and social media interactions in other words ,we are at your fingertips! The mobile app allows our customers to make appointments that fit their schedules, furthermore there is no inconvenience by forcing them to call in or use a web browser every-time. Once clients download the free app, they have access too artist schedules that give them a variety of services along with pricing before they book. The convince of it all allows clientele to pay a deposit or the total balance on the app. The Clipnwhip experience brings convince to booking and receiving services,without the client every leaving there house or there location.
Which brings me to our last unique quality that focuses on our customer retention management. This focuses on creating the concept of making sure that our clients are given the attention they deserve post service. There feedback and satisfaction are important to us, so we take the time to call and offer discounts for multiple uses on our app. We want to give our customers not only a healthier hairstyle but a healthy lifestyle.

Hello, my name is Miguel Carmona the third, my business is Clipnwhip a mobile shop/salon. We list barbers, makeup artist, hair stylist, estheticians etc. that come to you to perform whatever service you need. I became apart of the health beauty industry when realizing how the product side of beauty/ hair continues to have innovation but yet the service side is still brick/mortar. Lastly, I continuously missed my haircut and simply questioned, “ why can’t someone come to me?”.
At Clipnwhip we provide our customers with a unique new experience, access to shop/salon at the fingertips, and how we treat all our clients like “celebrities”. We deliver unmatched experience with our free to download mobile app that host all of our artist scheduling info along with pricing, reviews and there previous work. So our customers can make whatever decision about what service they want, when they want it, and where they want it all based on whats fits best with their schedules.
Along with access to mastery styling from some of the top stylist in your area, with the distinction of master artist, they have years of experience along with certain hair and cosmetic services that only they can provide because of there distinction. It saves our customers money since it’s a tenured professional, your style will last longer than average meaning fewer trips to the salon or barbershop. It also improves the health of our customers hair, skin, or lashes etc. by having the ability to speak privately with a master professional you can learn your hair type, how to keep you hair growing, and even
your skin type( oily,dry,normal, or combination).
With our “everyone is a celebrity” approach to our customers, our clients have ultimate availability as they tell us when they’re available and what day they’re available so you never miss another appointment. Thats one of the many added bonuses of having us come to your household or wherever you’re located to perform the service you need, bringing self-care on demand , our clients never have to pick between themselves or their to do list.
I’m most proud of my business Clipnwhip because we’re not just a barbershop or salon that comes to your home, we are team of passionate artist that help anyone look exactly how they want every single day. I’m also proud that we give groups that could benefit from more self-care in their regiment, the ability to add that to their already busy schedules without interruption like mom’s , young professional’s , or people that create their own work schedule (gig employees).
Their three things I want future followers, fans or even potential clients to know about Clipnwhip. Number one, your our star, when you book our services our artist and our photographer come to your location, our photographer takes pictures of your service being completed then with your permission we post it to our social media then tagging you in it on all of our platforms ( TikTok, IG, FB). Number two, we are available to everyone, simply if there’s a look you want we can make it happen no matter who you are, because everyone should have the ability to look how they want to every day period. Lastly, number three I want self care to be as important as healthcare, whether your a mom who can’t remember the last time you had a foot rub or a young person working 50 hours a week to afford Atlanta rent, self care needs to be a priority but not at the cost of you sacrificing your daily routine. Clipnwhip makes self-care a part of your daily routine without you doing anything but sitting down and going to the app.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients for Clipnwhip has been Google. We optimize our Google page by making sure we post consistently with up-to-date photos of our work, customer review and details on upcoming projects or promotions we have in that month.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
In 2020 like most readers it was very tough year for me, in a short summary I lost two jobs, lost nearly $40,000 in yearly income, and was on the verge of being homeless again( story for another time). I went from a salary $70,000 job to working for $9.90 per hour just to barely make ends meet. During this time I had yet to make any money from my business as I started back in 2018 and was questioning was the marketing budget, daily operating expenses, or even just the effort into doing it every day was worth it. “ My Why’s” for this business is of course my children, my mom, but mainly and most importantly as a black male I refuse to quit on my vision, my dream will not die in me. A mental shift took place in me and in 2021 we had our biggest revenue gain year to date which propelled us into the rapid growing phase were in now. The biggest lesson I learned is to keep pushing despite the pain your going through, in other words punish the pain by producing.
