We recently connected with Mignyon Warren and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Mignyon, thanks for joining us today. Do you manage your own social media?
I currently manage my own social media accounts. However, I do have help from a social media marketing specialist. She provides me with some content to post and a monthly plan with ideas for stories, reels, etc. I decided to get help because of my busy schedule. This saves me so much time! Plus, I love that she gives me a calendar with daily ideas and content which helps me maintain a constant presence on social media.
As a business owner, I would highly recommend getting help with social media. I wish I would have done it sooner! It has freed up so much of my time which has allowed me to spend more time focused on my clients.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi there! My name is Mignyon Warren. I first started in the fitness industry in 2012 teaching kid’s fitness classes for a Stretch-n-Grow franchise in the Minneapolis area. In 2015, my family and I moved to Florida and I purchased my own Stretch-n-Grow franchise in March of 2016. I eventually went on to get certified to teach a variety of adult fitness classes. Finally, I expanded my coaching by becoming a certified coach for an app called the FASTer Way to Fat Loss in 2023.
My kid’s fitness business is great because it is portable and so I get to teach the classes in a variety of different preschools all over St. Johns County. This is great for the parents ( and the kids) because it’s offered at the school therefore giving kids a chance to have a special activity without having to schedule something extra in the evenings.
I love coaching for the FASTer Way as well. This is great because I can coach clients all over the country. The app is amazing because all the workouts are there and we offer those for the home, gym and we offer low- impact workouts as well. Clients get new workouts each week that can be played on a phone, computer or television. I also love that my clients are given meal guides each week along with the recipes and shopping lists. It makes it so convenient for clients to have everything in one place.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I think the year 2020 was extremely challenging for everyone. Once Covid hit and everything seemed to shut down, so did my business. I lost everything! I lost all of my adult classes because the gyms closed. I also lost all of my kid’s fitness classes because schools had to close. In fact, even after the schools reopened, many did not allow outside venders to come in and teach classes for many months and some even up to a year. It really forced me to think outside the box in order to come up with other ways to teach. I started offering kid’s and adult classes via Zoom from my home. Once people were more comfortable being around others, I started teaching adult classes outside in various locations. Eventually things went back to normal and I gained all the business back, thankfully.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
I find the best source for new clients is through word of mouth. I really believe that hard work pays off and if you do a good job then people are going to tell others. I have found many new clients this way.
