Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Michelle Wallweber. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Michelle, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory of how you established your own practice.
After serving my community for over 20 years as an RN, I founded The Drip Factor LLC in October 2021 after 8 months of
research and planning. I obtained an IV Therapy certification which
covered the basics in IV vitamins and entrepreneurship. Having
spent over half of my nursing career coordinating infusion centers,
this was the perfect transition into launching my own business.
This is a new concept for most people, and what little they know
revolves around what they have interpreted from movies and social
media; hangover infusions and Myer’s Cocktails. IV Vitamin therapy encompasses so much
more! What we provide is an exceptional experience for individuals
hoping to optimize their wellness and provide cellular protection for healthy aging. In an age where we
live with chronic stress and daily exposures to toxins that degrade our cellular health, intravenous
antioxidant therapy helps to lower oxidative stress levels that can predispose us to inflammation and
chronic disease.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Among the first to bring IV nutrition to St. Charles County, The Drip Factor’s MISSION is to deliver an affordable, quality, personalized, service to those who strive for optimal health.
Our VISION is to educate and inform, so that through IV vitamin therapy, people will experience relief
from chronic symptoms and achieve enhanced overall well-being.
Our VALUES are safety, integrity, and quality. We source from
only quality pharmacies and employ only Registered Nurses with
the highest standards and reputations.
After working from various locations across St. Charles County
to educate and inform the community about this service, The Drip Factor has finally
settled down into one full-time space at the Meadows at Lake St.
Louis. This space is a partnership with two nurse practitioners so
that under one roof we can deliver medical aesthetics (Simply Bella
Aesthetics), medical weight loss (Simply Wurth It Medical Weight
Loss) , and medical cellular health.
What sets The Drip Factor LLC apart from others providing
similar therapies, is that this is our primary service. The business
was cultivated out of a need for alternative solutions for wellness. We are not a
casual boutique IV experience. Our IV Therapy was not created
as an afterthought to existing services as a revenue stream. As a
healthcare professional and out of a personal responsibility to serve
others, my desire is to become fully engrossed in the research to
gain more knowledge of cutting-edge therapies in cellular protection
and precision medicine. For this reason, I am in the process of
completing an additional Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner so
that I can widen my scope of practice and develop as an integrative healthcare provider.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start?
I started my business with a zero balance in my savings account, living paycheck to paycheck. I slowly purchased a few items at a time to build my initial inventory. Since I started The Drip Factor LLC as a side gig to my nurse educator position, I knew I didn’t need a large investment to get started. I built as I grew. After 3 short months I decided to take a leap of faith and resign from my full-time, direct-deposit, full-benefits, and pension career to finally launch my business full time. I maxed out every credit card I had and purchased the things I needed to begin working out of 3 separate locations across St. Charles County. This was necessary for me because IV vitamin therapy was not a well-known service and I was one of the first to introduce it to our area. I had several offers from investors, but declined because it was important to me that no one else have ownership in what I have worked hard to build. I knew that I never wanted to feel like I was indebted to another person…other than the credit card companies! I have continuously reinvested into my business and as of December 2022, partnered with two nurse practitioners to move into one new permanent space. In just a little over a year I have quadrupled my annual business revenue.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Human connection. This has been my priority from day one. I pride myself on taking the time to build relationships, learn about my clients and their goals. At The Drip Factor, we aren’t just sticking needles in peoples veins because it sounds like something new and fun to try. We are so much better than that. We discuss medical histories and make recommendations for optimal health. Our clients are important to us and we are grateful to every person who has trusted us with their care. Respect, integrity, and exceptional service maintains our 5 star reputation and keeps our clients returning regularly.
