We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Michelle Tutt a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Michelle, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you tell us about a time where you or your team really helped a customer get an amazing result?

There was a couple that was getting married in less than 2 weeks. They had reached out to me at what they considered last minute to see if I could help out. Of course I was happy too. It was refreshing to get the compliments and feedback from the couple and their guests. I believe it showed that I truly enjoy what I do.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I can remember always wanting to be an entrepreneur – I just wasn’t sure what I’d be doing.

Like most entrepreneurs, I’ve tried quite a few business attempts, and I failed quite a few. However, with each attempt, I learned something new.

There was one thing that remained constant, knew that I enjoy servicing people.

I enjoyed providing a service to those that needed it. I also enjoy teaching people new things that they may not have known and them appreciating that.

That’s when Simply Signed Services was born. I wanted to be able to provide a service that is a need among neighborhoods, schools, and other businesses.

Simply Signed Services provides mobile notary services, real estate loan signings, permit running, field inspections, wedding officiant services, document print/delivery and fax services.

Does your business have multiple or supplementary revenue streams (like a ATM machine at a barbershop, etc)?

I enjoy that I am able to supplement revenue streams under Simply Signed Services. I started as a mobile Notary Public, and it was simply because I personally needed a notary. I couldn’t find one. I saw a need, so I filled it.

Being a mobile notary, business wasnt exactly lucrative, so I had to find ways to add other revenues to it. I leaned about becoming a permit runner, a loan, or signing agent, a field inspector, and even a wedding officiating.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

Using other platforms like Google business and Thumbtack has been the best source of new clients for me. Both gives new, potential clients the opportunity to reach out and connect with me in many ways, by texting, emailing or chatting to learn if we’re a great fit for each other.
