Hi Michelle, thanks for joining us today. Can you walk us through some of the key steps that allowed you move beyond an idea and actually launch?
I’ve always been passionate about travel. When I met my husband, we made a plan to travel the world together. With backgrounds in marketing, starting a travel blog was a great way to “marry” our talents. Pun totally intended!
We set out to get photos and videos of every destination we visited and created a massive drop box folder with all of our experiences. Once out website was up, we started putting in the real work – remembering and writing about all of our experiences.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m most proud of the “expert guides” section we created on AllWorld.com. These guides showcase our most frequent travels and share insider tips on how people can have the best time when visiting destinations like Poland, Grand Cayman, Costa Rica, and of course our home town of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
We really help people “live like a local.”
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Being honest and transparent about experiences. While I’d love to say every venue we’ve visited was positive, sometimes they aren’t! We communicate through real life experiences, both good and bad, so that readers can know exactly what they are going to get into before visiting a venue or ordering a certain dish at a restaurant we’ve visited.
This has helped us gain a large following including newsletter subscribers and YouTube subscribers.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
We want to eventually grow the website into a travel app and booking engine. We’d love to build the narrative into something that would rival TripAdvisor, but through our own lens.
