We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Michelle Franklin. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Michelle below.
Alright, Michelle thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
Starting LRX Lux Rejuvenate was one of the biggest risks I’ve ever taken. I walked away from a six-figure job, dipped into my savings and retirement, and launched my own company—while pregnant with my third child.
At the time, I was working for one of the largest healthcare organizations in the world, managing a large project and collaborating with both divisional and corporate teams. I was working around the clock and thriving in my role, until the moment I told my leadership I was four months pregnant. That’s when everything changed overnight. I found myself cornered by my superiors, with pressure to sign a document that would have been detrimental to both my health and the health of my unborn child. It was a turning point—I made the decision to leave.
Just a week later, I ended up in the hospital, facing a trauma surgeon who told me that I might need emergency surgery and that both my baby and I were at serious risk. Those six days in the hospital—fighting for my health and my baby’s—were transformative. It gave me the space to reflect on what I truly wanted in life. I had been dreaming of owning my own business for over five years, but I always put my immediate responsibilities as a single mother of two boys first.
After nearly a decade of raising my children on my own, I finally decided to take the leap and create Lux Rejuvenate. Starting a business is possible with safety nets or even another job, but when I made the decision to go all in—without a safety net, pregnant with my third child—the drive and commitment that followed was unlike anything I had ever experienced. Failure was not an option. Finding a way forward became a must. Going “all in” has had a profound impact, sharpening my focus and fueling my determination.
The lesson here is that in order to reach your dreams, you have to take risks, get uncomfortable, and do the hard things. Adopting a mindset of resilience—knowing that you won’t fail, but will pivot, learn, and grow along the way—is key. Dreams are achievable if you believe in them and put in the work to make them a reality. Looking back, I can honestly say that I’m grateful for every challenge I’ve faced, because each one has made me stronger, and each struggle has fueled my growth.
How has my risk turned out? LRX Lux Rejuvenate is still in its early stages, but we are expanding every day. One of my very first clients has become not only a dear friend but also a strategic partner. The journey is just beginning, and while there’s still so much to come, my decision to take that risk has fundamentally changed the course of my future. I know there will be more challenges ahead, but I’m ready for them.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
From Florida Roots to Leading the Charge in Health & Wellness: A Journey of Passion, Experience, and Innovation
I’m a native Floridian, raised in a small town on a farm where I developed a deep love for the outdoors. Whether it was fishing, boating, or running the barn, I was always working with my hands. I learned to shingle roofs, mix concrete, swing a hammer, and dig fence post holes—all by the time I was young. Those early years taught me the value of hard work and resilience, lessons I carry with me every day.
At 16, I began my journey in the medical field working at a pediatrician’s office. It was there that I discovered my passion for helping others, and my fascination with the human body began to grow. Over the past 20 years, I’ve honed my skills in critical care, trauma, neuro, emergency medicine, and Cardiothoracic Intensive Care. I’ve also specialized as an ECMO specialist and had the privilege of taking on leadership roles, building and developing teams, and creating impactful programs and protocols.
Throughout my career, my commitment to understanding the human body and improving patient outcomes has only deepened. It was this wealth of experience that inspired me to create LRX Lux Rejuvenate—a concept designed to extend the life-saving knowledge I gained in the hospital into the community. At LRX, we bring luxury, privacy, and convenience together with cutting-edge therapies to help individuals achieve their optimal health and wellness goals.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
The story of how I met my business partner is a great reminder of the importance of being adaptable, taking risks, and being willing to learn along the way. She started as one of my very first clients, and the path to working with her could have gone very differently if I hadn’t been open to stepping outside of my comfort zone and adapting my approach.
Katy Saeger, my partner discovered me through social media and was seeking the services I offer. At the time, I was following the standardized booking process I had been advised to stick with. However, something about her felt unique, and instead of sticking rigidly to that process, I made the decision to drive out to Sarasota without a guaranteed booking or any assurance of a return. I remember thinking, There’s something about her—let me just go out there and figure it out as I go.I decided to try something different, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Little did I know, this incredible woman would not only become a dear friend but also a strategic business partner, bringing more value to my life and my company than I could have ever imagined. She is an exceptionally successful woman, both personally and professionally, with achievements that span the nation. I am truly grateful and blessed to have met her.
Looking back on that moment, I realize how easy it would have been to stick with the standardized scheduling platform, avoiding the discomfort of uncertainty. But by being willing to embrace the unknown and just figure it out as I went, I not only shaped my future but also the future of my business. My journey—and the growth of LRX Lux Rejuvenate—could have been very different if I hadn’t been willing to take that leap of faith, meet such an incredible like minded human and began an amazing journey together.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building an audience on social media didn’t happen overnight, and it’s been a journey of learning, adapting, and staying true to my brand and values. When I first started, I didn’t have a clear blueprint or an immediate large following. I just knew that I wanted to connect with people, share my story, and create a space where others could relate to the experiences I was going through.
One of the first steps I took was being consistent with my content. I made a conscious effort to show up regularly, whether that meant posting valuable content, behind-the-scenes looks at my business, or simply sharing my journey authentically. It wasn’t just about showcasing the polished, finished product—it was about the process, the struggles, and the wins. I found that being real and transparent resonated with my audience because they could see the person behind the brand.
Engaging with my followers was another key to growing my presence. I made sure to respond to comments and messages, interact with others in my field, and participate in conversations that mattered to me. It wasn’t just about broadcasting my message, but truly building relationships with people who shared similar interests or values.
I’m also incredibly grateful to have had the support of my husband Matt Rentschler, who’s been a huge asset in helping me grow my presence. His background in PR and website design played a critical role in building the foundation for my brand. He helped craft the visual elements of my online presence and ensured the user experience was seamless and professional. His expertise in public relations also helped me refine the messaging and strategy behind my content, making sure it resonated with the right audience.
Another big part of the journey was learning to adapt to what worked. I paid attention to the posts and content that got the most engagement and tried to understand what my audience responded to. Whether it was tips, personal stories, or simply being authentic and vulnerable, I adjusted my content strategy based on that feedback. I also tested new platforms, content formats, and strategies to keep things fresh and innovative.
For those just starting, my biggest advice would be:
1. Be Consistent and Authentic: The most important thing is to stay consistent, even when growth feels slow. People are drawn to authenticity. Share your story, your struggles, and your wins. People connect with realness.
2. Engage, Don’t Just Post: Social media is a two-way street. Don’t just post and leave—engage with your audience. Respond to comments, ask questions, and start conversations. It’s how you build relationships and trust.
3. Quality Over Quantity: It’s tempting to post every day to keep up with the algorithm, but focus on posting meaningful, high-quality content that offers value. You don’t need to overwhelm your followers with constant updates. Instead, post thoughtfully.
4. Be Patient: Growing an audience takes time. There will be moments when you feel like nothing is happening, but trust the process. Stay committed to your mission and values, and growth will follow.
5. Experiment and Learn: Don’t be afraid to try new things. Some of my best-performing content came from experimenting with new ideas or formats. Learn from what works and what doesn’t, and keep refining your approach.
6. Leverage the Right Expertise: If you can, surround yourself with people who can bring specialized skills to the table. For me, my husband’s and business partner, Katy’s expertise in PR and website design has been invaluable in helping my business look polished and professional, allowing me to focus on content and engagement.
Social media is a tool that can help you connect with others, share your story, and build a community. It’s not about the number of followers you have, but the relationships you create and the value you offer. Be patient, stay consistent, and trust that the right people will find you when you stay true to who you are.
